Man that was great..... I am never sure how close to put them to a wall. Loved the demonstration. Also the distance to fan blades.

Thanks for getting right to the point and not excessively repeating yourself. Also, you were the first video I finally found that actually specified distances between lites! It's what I needed to know. Thanks

Appreciate the video, this was helpful and gave me some things to think about, mainly the spacing of lights. You are more or less in line with the spacing others suggested in their videos. I've seen some say you can go as close as 2 feet from the wall, but your demonstration in moving it in various positions in relation to the wall or ceiling fan were incredibly useful. After seeing you do that, I decided two feet from the wall was really just too close.

This was amazingly helpful. Thank you so much! The LED wafer lights you mentioned are exactly the ones we're going with, coincidentally. Thanks again!

Grreat video. appreciate the demonstrations of strobe and hard shadows. Buy more than you think you need, you can always return it later. For plumbing I buy 2 extra of everything, 1 to screw up, 1 to do it right and 1 for when I have to change it.

Excellent video with demo of impact to light placement. Any thoughts on placement in an office for nine foot ceiling. I was targeting 38” off each wall and four feet apart. Thoughts ??

Mike, I have been looking into the Halo HLB wafer lights. One model says it comes with an AirTight IC Baffle. Do I really need an Insulation Contact baffle with these LED lights? Installation is on the Main floor just below the attic. I can see that the Air Tight seal would be good on the ceiling leading to the attic but I am putting some of these in the basement ceiling as well. The basement ceiling will have insulation to keep noise from the Man Cave getting to the living room but is the contact with insulation really going to cause the light to overheat if it is not at least 3" away or do I need to buy the expensive light with the IC baffle?

GREAT video!!! Please Help.....My electrician installed exterior soffit pot lights, FC 4 inches, slim panel 9W = 80w, 750Lm, Color accuracy >80 Ra, 4000K Dimmable but the house looks grayish/white
It changed the color of the brick exterior to cool tones and looks awful. I tried to use the dimmer to the lowest set but still very bight greyish instead of a low soft warm light. This light comes to 3000K option but i am afraid it will be very yellow/golden tones.
What is the Best LED color temperature for my black soffit, red brick exterior for soft warm light?
    Thank you in advance, M

Big fan of the new wafer lights he mentioned as location (of joist) does not matter. Just pick the center
