WHAT??? A VOLBEAT VIDEO FROM COUNTER CULTURED?
    Here's my ranking:
    8. Beyond Hell/Above Heaven
    7. Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie
    6. Rewind, Replay, Rebound
    5. Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil
    4. Servant Of The Mind
    3. The Strength/The Sound/The Songs
    2. Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies
    1. Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood (My favorite album of all time!)
Also, Kaspar was not on bass yet for Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie. Rob played bass on that album.

I was fully introduced to this band with Servant of the Mind, but I did first listen to them around Outlaw Gentlemen. I have now recently listened to all of their albums so...
    ...Here's my Ranking
    8. Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies
(Not bad at all, but too soft for my tastes)
    7. Seal the Deal and Let's Boogie (From here, I really like all of them, but this is the previous album but better in every way)
    6. Rewind, Replay, Rebound
(The latter half of the album saved it for me because it goes back to more heavy rock)
    5. Above Heaven / Beyond Hell
(Lots of variety and I love it)
    4. Guitar Gunslingers and Cadillac Blood
(Great rock and great slower songs)
    3. The Strength, The Sound, The Song
(I don't really care about lyrics too much)
    2. Servant of the Mind
    (Almost perfect)
    1. Rock the Rebel | Metal the Devil
( I love the type of sound in this album, and this album is full of it)

26:56 I’ll tell you why. Michael said, that producers they were working with at the time didn’t think a song with Danish lyrics would sell, so they strongly recommended made Volbeat recorded an English version. But it turned out to be a massive success. For Evigt is by far one of Volbeat’s most popular songs, it was even played like an anthem at a football match where the Danish national football team played.

Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies is my favorite. I agree, I slept on servant of the mind for about a year and it's frustrating because it sounds awesome... by the way, it isn't a counter cultured video if Alter Bridge isn't mentioned hahaha . you should rank breaking benjamin next.

I discovered Volbeat just last year. I had Alexa play rock music. Heaven Nor Hell played. I asked Alexa who that was. A year later I own all 8 of their albums. I agree with your order on the 5-8. (Although I really like Leviathan from the 7th cd). The top 4 are almost impossible to put in order because I love them all. I'm not a fan of the songs that had the 60s beach guitar from Servant so I'd swap that with Above Heaven. One thing I completely disagree with is your hatred of Evelyn. I'm not a death metal guy, but I love that song. That CD is literally stuck in my car. I can't get it out. I tried multiple methods to get it out, but nothing worked. So needless to say that song really grew on me. You probably know this, but the Demo version has Paulsen singing the growler parts...switching flawlessly back and forth. I love the melodic verse at the end. Anyway, cool video. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! I get it with Evelyn. I had a similar experience with the album "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot-dog Flavored Water" by Limp Bizkit. I fully believe that they are not a good band, but I accidentally conditioned myself into enjoying the album because I left it in my car for a year, and it would come on whenever I'd drive from my house to my college campus. It was always a very short drive, so I never bothered to change it or find something on the radio, and before I knew it, I was singing/rapping along to every track. The only reason I had it in the first place was because my brother got it for me as a gag gift

    4- Seal The Deal
    5- Beyond Hell
    6-Rock The Rebel

    8-Rock The Rebel
*I only know a couple of the better known songs off of 6 thru 8 so I can't give a solid opinion yet; I only got into Volbeat 5 months ago😁
I definitely can tell I like the music they put out with Rob more than the 1st few records.

While I do think Rewind is mid, but it does have some gems like Die To Live, and some of my personal favourites; the demo versions of Leviathan, Last Day Under The Sun and Maybe I Believe.
Rewind may be pretty light and radio-friendly in sound, but like The Strength there’s just a certain charm about the flaws in the mix and Michael’s vocals.
I don’t really care what Volbeat makes as long as they’re proud of it. They were practically the soundtrack to my life, I grew into a person with them. They’re one of the reasons I’m proud to be Danish.
Edit: Rewind is by far my least favourite album, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. I can’t really decide on a favourite because I love Volbeat so much, so I’ll do a top 3.
    1. Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies. I especially like the deluxe version because it has an unmentioned extra song called Rebel Angel, which I really love.
    2. Servant Of The Mind. This released when I was going on a road trip and it saved me from endless boredom.
    3. Beyond Hell / Above Heaven and Seal The Deal. They both just bear so much nostalgia for me, I have a lot of good memories linked to these albums.

The reason rebound was included was because the drummer (I think) from teenage bottle rockets had passed away. They toured with Volbeat at some point and volbeat covered the song in remembrance of him. In at least the American release this is explained in the section that the lyrics for the song would've normally gone.

I cant possibly rank their albums......was listening from the time he was with Dominus. I love his guest singers and guest music instrumentals, I learned from HIM (Michael) how he decides who they would work well with. Sorry but Dagen för Is an amazing track....Wait A minuite My Girl is one of those songs that just gets you off your seat and just dance around......Evelyn understanding the lyrics helps a lot.....you CANNOT deny the kick ass bass solo in it. 7:24 is great.......I would LOVE to hear Michael cover a particular Johnny Cash song: Cocaine Blues after watching Walk The Line Joaquin Phoenix did it absolutely perfect, I wounder what Michael could do.
I agree about Rebound, that was kinda like huh ???? But as the MUSIC itself is kinda catchy, I love hearing it when i go walking.

So I'm 21 and Danish so I've grown up with Volbeat and they were my first concert.
If I was to rank their albums worst to best it would go something like
R/R/R. it's absolutely horrible and doesn't work at all
(From here on I like more than 4 songs of the album's)
Servant. mainly because of Dagen Før being really bad
The strength. They haven't fully found their sound yet
Rock the Rebel. Even tho it was one of my all time favourite songs Gardens Tale
Seal the Deal. It's good nothing more to say
Outlaw Gentleman. It's very good Room 24 goes HARD
Guitar Gangsters. literally no bad songs on this album
Beyond Hell. No bad songs I love every track on this album but especially Evelyn, A Better Believer, and fallen

What Rob did with Anthrax is completely irrelevant. I will say i saw him on video playing live with them and as always he was awesome.
I love the Volbeat albums with Rob on guitar, he raises the bar for them musically in a big way. and don't forget who is in charge of what Volbeat sounds like- Michael. He writes and sings everything. Rob plays the leads and has input producing the albums but this is Michael's band ultimately.
