The Shankaracharya Temple, also known as the Jyeshteshwara Temple, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the Shankaracharya Hill in Srinagar, Kashmir, the temple is perched at an altitude of about 1,000 feet above the city, providing panoramic views of the picturesque Dal Lake and the surrounding valley.
The Shankaracharya Temple holds great religious significance for Hindus.
Visitors can reach the temple by a well-maintained road, followed by a climb up approximately 243 steps. The ascent is manageable, and the path is surrounded by serene natural beauty.
