I loved Verity and I'm team letter. Based on her name "Verity" which means "truth". I don't think the author would have chosen this unique name if it didn't mean something important.

Just found your channel today and immediately subscribed. I read lots of thrillers and murder mysteries - been reading for over 20 years. I found your reviews to be very informative and interesting, and as a result have included a bunch of books you covered in various reviews on my Kindle Unlimited list. Haven't been exposed to the psychological thriller genre before today and am excited to read a number of your recommendations. Might report back after sampling 5 or 6 of them and by the way congratulations on your many followers.

The secret history by Donna Tart. One of the very best psychological thrillers ever written. Breathtaking. Also Dostoyevksy's crime and punishment (probably the best one ever written) Thank you for your share. Noel 📚 🎇
A lot of people seemed to hate on Every Vow You Break last year but I ended up loving it. Glad to know I wasn't alone in that boat!

Added a couple of these to my TBR. You had me at character map for the Unger novel. 😂 I really liked The Cousins, too. I have read all her published standalones and it is my favorite.

Funny story..... I have a friend that tends to like the same books as I do ( so i thought) she told me not to bother with Verity but then i started hearing a few others talking about it so I grabbed it and ended up loving it. A Flicker in the Dark was phenomenal, Maidens was so good i picked up The Silent Patient and couldn't stand it. I have the Push on hold at my library.
Team manuscript, but i think that may be because Lowen resonated with me... being that 30s woman who doesnt quite feel like a woman yet, dealing with loss and anxiety and lack of confidence in herself and her work. I was pulling for her the whole book and am not ready to fathom that she may have been in the wrong.
Have read most of these so I guess I like thrillers too. But not so much when they drift into horror. How do you keep your character map? I haven’t quite settled on a good method/format.

Hi Ashley you should try Donato Carrisi's books. He is the king of psychological thriller and every time you think you understood something he changes everything. Even if now I know his style of writing, I still cannot figure out the end of his books, every single time I'm WTF 🤯! I hope you will try and enjoy !

@@sumankumari5004 His first The whisperer is still one of my favorite and it's also the first of a series of four, so if you love you can continue or stop (because it has its own end). I also love one of his last but I don't find it in english, the title translate from italien could be The house of voices, it's brillant! I really hope you'll love and maybe I will know your thoughts in a month's wrap up. 😉

I unfortunately didn’t feel the psychological aspect of the push at all. To me it was glaringly obvious how it would end the entire time and there really never was that psychological struggle with me while reading it.
The push at the beginning sounds exactly like we need to talk about kevin

I might not be in the majority despite’s peoples reviews but I loved the maidens. Michaelides writing is amazing. I’m encapsulated the whole time. Same with the silent patient.

I've read Verify and Home Before Dark. I enjoyed both of them. Have you read any Simone St. James books? I just love her books. They are psychological thrillers with a twist of paranormal.
I have! I’ve read The Book of Cold Cases & The Sundown Motel and enjoyed both 👻
If you enjoyed those, you would probably like The Broken Girls by St James too.

I love psychological thrillers. The best one I've read is unpopular, but very very very good. It's called "Cry baby" by David Jackson

I think the best psychological book is Shutter Island, and there is a remake of the movie with Leo.

Can't listen to this teen sounding voice. She says many words wth that sing-song, annoying lengthening of words, for example: "phone"is "phooooonne.". And then a question at the end with a rise of voice at the end... when there is no question. So, my first sentence would be "Can't listennnnn to this teen sounding voooooice?" She's still going onnnnn.
