hey Justin, ill shit. realky important. the smoothest way to create your own textures from jpg.... you can bring the model in to blender as obj to render it and put some dancy fbx animations in
I tried this, but after importing as a texture I can't release it with my mouse. It has a black circle with a bar at the point by the cursor which I assume means you can't do this. Any pointers? pardon the pun.
I figured it out, you're likely trying to paint a component or group? you have to be inside editing the group/component, so that the face is editable. Hopefully this makes sense, obvious why i'm not making my own youtube videos!
Hello Justin, Is there a default orientation setting for a texture. I am trying to include a tile texture that shows inclined at one area in a model whereas in another place it is aligned to the axes. What can this be due to?
Doesn't work for me. When I import the images have a symbol with a diagonal line through it that hovers over the lower left corner instead of the dot. Suggestions?

Your videos are great! I'm not sure why but they don't seem to play with the picture on my laptop, I can only get the sound on them?? This only seems to happen with your videos, no issues with any others. They only work on my phone and smart TV. Any ideas??
Have a very annoying issue here, when I imported a texture for wallpaper, I couldn’t just fit that correctly on the wall, it’s breaking down into divisions, can you please clear this out?
Hey, what do i do if i need the exact material for rendering and i can't find it as a seamless picture and i meed the exact material to show to my clients?
The image i imported won't appear on "in model" after i sample it. Why is that? It also won't show up in vray -- it shows up now. I just exploded the image first
q2q2121 q34qq23423qq122 oh yes. I do this all the time. You can also use photo match and then make the texture unique. The edit it with Photoshop and drag it back into Sketchup with control s.
I just spent time setting up account with the sketchup textures. Spent about one hour looking thru the different texture. So I could download bit 15. I think only allowed 25 in one day. But when I go to import the file it's invisible grrrrr. It's in its own separate folder in downloads. They are all their when I just open the folder on its own. But when I try to import something the folder is empty. WTF.
Hi, Im using sketchup free version, having problems with pasting material. Tried importing image as material and often when I start to paste from the lower left edge , the image does not appear. Please advice, thank you for your videos really helpfull.. 😊
@@Thesketchupessentials no its not grouped, if I go to materials and use the paint bucket and paste I dont have any problem, only when import picture as material, I cant cant start from the lower endpoint and finish on Edge, but if i start from say inside the face an click on edge it works. Do you create your own images( from camera)?
Do you use Photoshop to make them seamless?
I don't, but you definitely can. I usually end up downloading them and importing them into my model from texture websites. Thanks for watching!

I don't understand what you're looking for - wouldn't you just adjust the settings in Vray manually?
Yes, that's exactly what I want
For example, giving properties of marble or wood to look real

Hi, it is possible if i export this model to obj file, the textures painted to the model will also exported?
Not sure - I don't do a lot of OBJ export
Thanks for the video, but I cant paint the wall, from import image as texture, do you know why? Thanks
Is your wall grouped? You have to be able to paint the material on a raw face when importing a texture
Thanks. Problem solved. Shall I buy the sketch pro for better results and rendering? Where the correct place to buy the software? Thanks
