I genuinely loved these as a kid. They were inferior & you'd need 2 or 3 Corps figures when trading for a single GI Joe, but they still had their charm. Slightly wonky aesthetics aside, it was the weak thumbs that would haunt me. Once a thumb broke I'd want nothing to do with a figure 😁 I've come to really want OG Corps back in my collection, but prices on mint examples are kinda hard to swallow. Hope you throw some of these around in your backyard for any upcoming features.
That’s great! I didn’t/don’t have any of the Gung-Ho/first Corps figures, but I do have some from later series when it comes to the vintage line. I almost have a complete set of black card (3rd series) but they’re on card backs. You’re 100% correct on the pricing for these. Sometimes they rival vintage joes.
I recently got a huge job lot of these vintage Corps figures and I've been repairing them on-and-off for the past few weeks. It's given me a new appreciation for these toys, honestly.
I got the rest of the O-Ring Saga written out so it’ll be easier to release once a month. Besides, I want to do a full video on just the Gung-Ho trial and later the Hummer trial
Used to get the corps! Toys in the 90s loved em you didn’t really get gi joes in the uk guess cause we had action man 12 inch figures still. The space shuttle corps they did were great I liked the laser force sci fi ones to
