- This is probably the gnarliest thing I've ever done, paddle surfing 25ft+ surf out here in the Pacific Northwest. A few days of training & a few jet ski tow ins got me ready for the ultimate paddle session so here we are. Big wave surfing is just a whole other story when it comes to positioning, etc. You have to be in the right spot so wish me luck, THANK YOU FOR THE STOKE!! - Ben

Gotta say man, its mighty impressive what youve done the past few days. Going from zero big wave experience to paddling into 25 footers is pretty incredible. I'd never go out into surf that big, and you charged it, and were looking comfortable out there in a couple days.
At what point, in your opinion, does a wave *face* begin to be considered "big wave surfing"?

I haven't seen him in a year. I am clean and sober, and launching my company right now. KUWMAZ CARVE SYSTEM. It converts "Ollie stick" skateboards into high performance surf and snowboard trainers. Ben I really picked up even more mad respect for you. That was gnarly and you overcame the self preservation tremors to get the ring. A go pro mouth mount would have been sic to give us a view of the death ledge but breathing and not getting knocked out by your own camera is important too. I guess. Wil is my new hero too.

The biggest fear I have surfing big waves is getting caught inside because the anticipation of waiting to get worked is a killer.
Love your vids dude! I started surfing in October and almost every day since. Surfed my first 6+ wave this morning. It felt amazing. I can't imagine the power of a 25 footer so sick!
