Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.
Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army Officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.
Based on the Monsterverse from Legendary, and starring Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski, this dramatic saga - spanning three generations - reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

I have to agree Lee Shaw was the highlight of the show, thanks to the great acting of Kurt & Wyatt Russell. It will be interesting if they bring the Lee character back next season. Or decide to go in a different direction. I hope Apple TV does, bring the character back. 😊

The writers have to find a way to create more story for young Shaw. Have him escape the place they put him in after he gets back and goes on an adventure to Skull island or something looking for Bill. No way he would just sit there like a vegetable for 30 years or whatever. Verdugo did mention he'd escaped before earlier in the season.

Lee is my absolute favorite character in monsterverse second only to Godzilla himself. Kurt and Wyatt Russell truly outdid themselves they were wonderful to watch. I hope they return for season 2 but if they don’t they had a touching and fulfilling send off. Can’t wait for season 2.

A mixed bag, for me: Parts of the script are brilliant, some other make no sense. Yet the good ones make the show quite charming.
A beautiful surprise to see Mr Russel again. What a thespian, even at this age.
Most characters in the show are likable, yet some are not, despite the intentions.
My first encounter of Madame Yamamoto: Blimey! What a performance.
Excellent production. I hope season two gets even better.

It might be, might be not. You also have to consider that the scene was set in 1952. Alot can change in a habitat in six decades. I live in Pakistan, we had cheetahs, tigers, rhinos and gharials in 1952. All went regionally extinct by 2015 (which is when the present era of the series takes place).
