- Nostalgia is in right now, and there have been a lot of classic video games getting remakes lately. If there's one game in particular that I think needs a remake more than any other though, it's Sonic Adventure. This Sega Dreamcast classic was mind-blowing for its time, and with some touching up, I think a remake could provide an amazing experience! Glitches and graphics aside, I think the foundation of this game still holds up really well. Come on Sega, Sonic Adventure needs a remake!

“You okay there Tails?” Lol!
The quality on these videos are amazing, super underrated.
Thanks! I really appreciate the support!
I'm a huge fan of the Sonic series as a whole, so it's interesting to hear all the big news about remasters and remakes. Generally speaking, I think the only reason Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were ported over to the GameCube were because of the failure of the Dreamcast. If they were going to remake one, they may as well remake both, though, since it wouldn't be unreasonable to use the engine to recreate both... and hey, that opens the door to the potential remaster of several of the other 3D games, including Heroes, Unleashed, Seven Rings, and Black Knight.
Interesting to think how much potential for a remake it has!
Yeah, the Gamecube ports were definitely kind of rush jobs, which worked out for them considering how well they sold haha.
I would absolutely love them to remake Sonic Adventure 2 as well as other games, but I think that SA1 needs a remake most of all. That would be awesome if hypothetically Sonic Adventure Remake was just the start of a whole line of others.
So strange that this pops up on my recommended… I was just thinking I’d love to see Sonic Adventure 2 remastered (with improvements on the controls for the space levels, especially the camera)
Yeah, a remake of Sonic Adventure 2 would also be awesome! In a perfect world, we'd get both SA1 and SA2 remade and bundled together like the Crash and Spyro remakes, but, I definitely wouldn't count on that happening. It's fun to think about, though.
@@HatStackMike I never got the chance to play Sonic Adventure 1 so I’d really love if they remastered both in a bundle! Maybe someday. I think we are in a good age for remasters / remakes at the moment.
Sonic Adventure 2 needs the SA1 Spin Attack.
Agreed! The spindash in SA1 is perfect.
A Sonic Adventure remake would be interesting. They could alter the story a bit to involve more Chaos fights and introduce skill fruits that influence Chao evolution.
Yeah, that would be awesome! There are quite a few improvements they could make without altering the core experience of the game too much. We can always keep hoping!
They definitely need this!! Get us chow gardens again!
Yeah, good point, a modernized Chao Garden could be amazing!
I can't think of a single time sega has made a good remake or port. I hope they never make new ports just because they cannot be trusted.
Yeah, the hesitation to trust Sega with a remake is definitely warranted. The reality is that even if a Sonic Adventure remake happens, it could still go very wrong. I'd like to think that Sega would know how big of a deal this would be to people and not mess it up, though.
Sonic adventure is definitely my third favorite sonic game behind adventure 2 and unleashed, I agree it needs a remake, but Sega is Sega /:
Yeah, very true. I'm definitely not holding my breath on a proper Sonic Adventure remake happening. I can dream, though.
Hard agree, and even though the first Sonic Adventure needs it more I'd love to see Sonic Adventure 2 remade as well. Maybe a good candidate for a collection similar to the Spyro trilogy?
I would LOVE if both Adventure games got remade and bundled together like the Crash and Spyro remakes. I wouldn't count on Sega being that generous though, haha.
But yeah, between the two of them, I'd say SA1 would benefit much more from a proper remake than SA2, even though remakes would be really good for both of them.
