    Maybe the fact that he went backrupt tells you they may have been too poor to feed another child. Also there was mention of illness. Children are often with other family members on census night and it doesn't neccissarily mean they live there.

    The mother may have run out of milk and they sent the child to a wet-nurse. Has any follow-up appeared on the family to which she was sent? Sometimes those arrangements appear in the records.

      It’s not their fault. It’s because the network bosses don’t want it on CZcams for free. They want ppl to go to the TV channel’s website where people need cable subscription to watch. I’m just happy the channel have found away of uploading 10 min at the time without getting in trouble with the network. Remember that Who Do You Think You Are is owned by a production company who have a deal with the TV Channel/network who get to air it.
