The Swan image: brought me back to a favorite childhood movie starring Danny Kaye. It’s the story of Hans Christian Anderson. Within it is a lovely little song about the ugly duckling, who, of course, becomes a majestic swan. In the story, the little bird is rejected by the other birds for not being good enough. After he goes through his transformation to his mature form - the Swan - everyone’s attitude toward him changes. In the song, the chorus goes from “get out of town“ to “the best in town “.
