Please stay in Toronto. Its a great place for a hardworking young professional like you and your beautiful family. I relived my early days as a newcomer here by watching your video. I am retired now! We need young families ..hard working dads like you here. God bless you and your family.
As a native Torontonian this video made me happy and sad. COVID really took away all the best parts of the city. Happy you guys are enjoying your new home.
Covid!! Ruined a lot for us
Not Covid-19 our government
Please is racism rampant in canada?
@@Safiyyrh No. In UK my kids never got invited to birthday parties of others non coloured kids. Here in Canada from day one literally first week in school they were invited and treated like they knew them all their lives. Neighbours will take my kids on bike rides with their own kids and actually fix their bikes! There is definitely more interaction here in Canada. It is the norm to see races marry that you will NEVER see in UK. In fact most families seem to be from at least 3 cultures, this makes them more accepting of others.
Dr. Jude, I am Caribbean born, grew up in London, England and emigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1993. Your story brought back so many memories of when me, my wife and son arrived in Canada. 28 years on I can say it was the best decision we ever made. I can tell you that the climate on the West Coast here is way different to Toronto. Summers are longer and not as hot while our winters are wet, lots of rain but only a couple of days snow. You really don't need winter clothes (Umbrellas yes lol). In terms of the people, quality of life and raising children, Canada cannot be beat. One of the most positive outcomes we've seen is that our black children are educated and imbued with the the same aspirations as their white counter parts. While it is not perfect, we have noticed the differences in expectations between our Canadian son and his English cousins. That is not a knock on England more a reflection of being raised in a class driven society. Finally, what has always been a source of pride living here is that with all the diversity, you are encouraged to celebrate your original cultural heritage while still being a proud Canadian. I recommend a visit to Vancouver. Not as culturally diverse as Toronto but absolutely beautiful scenery, laid back people unbelievable quality of life.. Congrats my brother.
As a person who lived in many countries, I can assure you this. Canada is on another level.
how?
@@bigdaddyb04 1. Health insurance, I know you are saying no that is not a big deal but trust me it is. my aunt was diagnosed with cancer and it cost her thousands of dollars in procedures to live a few more years. the pressure it put on her family was huge, years of savings were lost.
2. clean air, I went to China and lived there for 2 years and I was always sick. I couldn't run because if I did I would through up for lack of oxygen, the pollution is crazy.
3. abundance of resources, whatever it is water, electricity, or food. Canada has all of it, you will know the importance of water if you lived in Afghanistan. I know many developed countries have water, electricity but not as clean or constant as Canada.
4. educated people, you will know how important it is to live among educated if you lived in uneducated closed-minded communities. most countries have judgemental views but not in Canada, where everyone is open-minded, and if not ask them to fuck off. they can't do much but in other countries, if you did something which goes against their values you can be burned alive.
5. employment, you will be surprised to know that Canada has the highest paying wages among many developed countries, and there are many jobs available. the unemployment rate is about 5%, compare that to other countries 45-30% you will know how important that is, or to Japanese 12 hours a day 5 days a week work culture you will know how good you guys have it.
6. beauty and nice people, Canada is one of the most beautiful countries I have been to. and people are way too nice.
7. land of opportunities, in many countries you can not get a loan for education or buying a house. if you were born in the lower class you will die in the lower class, it doesn't matter how hard you try but not in Canada. anyone can make it and anyone can become a millionaire if they try hard.
8. less corrupt government, I know you Canadians love to go off against your government for corruption, what you guys corruption we call it minor mistakes. go to Afghanistan where you have to pay money to pay your taxes. You have to pay not to get raped, have to pay if you don't want to get murdered by your government. or the usa which is the world's number one democracy where it is legal to bribe the senators.
These are a few reasons I can assure you there are many more.
@@elhamhemat572 Thank you for this. i am an armenian international student currently enrolled in george brown college and im looking to move to canada. i just wanted to get someones input as to how life is there from an actual person living there, and i can relate to you a lot since im from the middle east too ( assuming youre from the middle east). I am currently living in Kuwait and cant wait to get out of this oppressive country.
Very informative, and your pretty good at story telling...
lol, thank you! trying to get better at that!
@@DRJUDE 🤣🤣 you even added the "Funke" reaction in your video 😂
Thank you for speaking the truth, our summers are HOT! Even my friends from Jamaica said they can't stand our summers because they said it felt worse than the heat at home due to the humidity!
Lol, the summers are serious!
Hi Dr. Jude, thank you so much for this amazing and lovely video. I am originally from Panama and a proud Canadian for the past 28 years. Toronto is a great city with great people. Thank you again and keep safe. Your children and wife are so beautiful :)
Thank you so much Dr. Jude. My parents came here to Canada (from South Africa) with 6 boys and my mom pregnant with my eldest sister. They entered Canada in Nova Scotia. They eventually settled here in Ontario. Listening to you reminds me to be grateful that my folks came to Canada. Cheers to you for your dedication to your profession and your family. Love your videos.
Am in SA and planning to migrate to Canada within the next 24 months...
@@khanyisonkumanda9812 Welcome to Canada. There are a lot of South Africans here!!

Thank you for your nice comments about Canada. I’ve been living here for 30 years and always hearing bad comments about the weather. You must be extremely smart because it’s not easy getting into medical school in UK and getting positions in Canada. Congratulations!!

It’s a short 4 hour drive away and you and your family will love winterlude complete with skating on the canal and the ice sculptures. But dress warm... 🥶 😉. So glad you came here we need more people like you and your family. ❤️🙏🇨🇦

This was amazing to see... I’m a Toronto native, living in Berlin, Germany since 2011. I miss Toronto dearly. So great to see your appreciation for this beautiful city ❤️🙌🏾
Awesome insights! Must've been some experience being a surgeon and creating also while being a husband and dad✌️
Little tip for you. Check out Earl Bales Park on Bathurst Street. The City has a downhill ski facility there and also run programs for kids. It's surprisingly pretty decent for kids to learn, they provide all the equipment and it's inexpensive.
Loved it bro
You are my favourite youtuber and u inspire me a lot ✊✊✊🤗
Really enjoyed this video Dr. Jude... beautiful family. I hope your still here in Toronto. I work for UHN, great hospitals downtown 😁

Hey Dr Jude, thanks for this vid! I’m an English teacher in the UK and really thinking about teaching abroad but a bit apprehensive so this was good thank you!
Glad it helped!
Fascinating, thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed
I recently moved out from toronto and you making me miss home 😭
Just came across your channel a few days ago. I love that you and your family enjoyed your time in my home city. My wife’s from the UK and we live in Dubai. We both agree that Toronto is essentially the perfect mix between London and New York, with our Canadian twist lol.
Thats a great way to describe it!
Great video!!!!
Great video of Toronto...👊🏿👍🏿
Excellent 👏🏾👏🏾
Great video!! The Entertainment District has the largest concentration of night clubs in Toronto.
@11:28 HotHouse is an amazing restaurant. Good review about the product differences. There was no Carival in 2020 but hopefully there will be one in 2021. I'm looking to return and work for myself. The work market in T.O is very competitive.
New on your channel, an excellent communicator and you hit your subject headlong.
Thank you Oluseun! Welcome!
excellent choice coming here, especially pay wise.
Congratulations for having a gorgeous son💝
Very cool. Hello from Toronto! So glad you took advantage of being here and exploring! Great your son is a Canadian and can have dual citizenship! I love london and cannot wait to get back! I have dual citizenship as my mum was from Manchester
Nice! Yes he does, he’s Canadian and a Brit!
I want to keep track of your family just to hear your baby boy's toronto/london fusion accent in a few years.
Hey Dr Jude, good to hear your journey update, nice tan also. Glad you didn't lose you accent.
Thanks! The accent is going nowhere
Awesome Obi!!! -Sanj

You have yourself a new subscriber. I enjoyed watching your videos. Not sure how I got here, you're Nigerian, educated with a great world view- that's it!
Incredibly enjoyable! As a child I lived in Detroit and twice a month we commuted to Toronto where Father had friends who migrated there in the 40s. We loved it there then but now it would incredibly insane wonderful to go there after this COVID mess is over!!!

Thank you! I hope you got to enjoy Toronto!
Much respect my Naija brother. I'm glad you enjoyed the city. Great move and phenomenal opportunities for growth. Showing that Toronto love. As you know there is a large West African (Nigerian & Ghanaian) especially the Caribbean population spread throughout the Toronto region. Much Respect👊🏽
Thank you brother! 👊🏾
Very nice video. Thank you
you are making me miss Toronto
Beautiful family!,

Greetings from cold COVID UK. Im also a Doctor looking to move to Toronto after completion of training next year. Process is so long and frustrating but this video has made me feel like its worth it. Thank you. You have a new subscriber.
Getting a job in Toronto will be incredibly challenging as an IMG. Assume you have looked into the permanent residency process and the job market for your specialty.
Amazing video
Canada is looking good. I have been to Toronto before many years ago, wasn't feeling it then, but now it defo needs a second look.
I love Toronto, its definitely a place to visit!
