I've had Collies, Dobermans, Shelties, mutts and I loved them all.
Mani though, my Husky, my big 90lb rescue and I connected in a way that I cannot really put into words. It was deeply spiritual. Not all soulmates are human. The Gaelic people have a term that comes closest to the connection we had, Anam Cara, "soul friend". I lost him to degenerative myelopathy last May, can't wait to cross over the bridge as see those amazing blue eyes again.

This was sad to read but completely understandable. My husky is my best friend. She annoyed the hell out of me but I love her to death. It's always a good morning when she's laying on my pillow between my wife and I

My girl is a stubborn, intelligent, independent, dramatic, is deaf when told what to do, a fussy eater, a cat in a dogs body, but I wouldn’t be without her. If you have a husky you have my respect. Xx.

I just recently discovered your channel, but I've had huskies and husky mix breeds all my adult life. They're my favorite dogs. I have a sign in my place that reads "A house is not a home without a husky."
My first husky lived almost 18 years and my second lived almost 16 years. I love them like they're my children. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about these amazing animals.

There is something deep about forming a connection with a Siberian husky or Alaskan malamute. I've had both. My malamute Blue was my best friend. We understood each other. I miss him so much after I lost him early to chronic pancreatitis (no matter how little fat we put into his diet, he couldn't shake it). He was a rescue and had a poor start to his life. My eyes are currently watering up thinking of him. Then there is my boy Loki, a Siberian husky. He has all of the husky quirks. Picky eater, mischievous, intelligent, super friendly, and energetic. He can really get on my nerves sometimes but the best parts of my day are coming home to him napping on the couch or waking up to him sleeping between my wife and me.

  • @katelynthewhitewerewolf6376

Huskies are one of my favorite dogs I also like Wolfdogs Alaskan Malamutes and German Shepherds.
I'm also more of a dog person than a cat person.
I do like cats but I like dogs more.

Togo at 12 yrs old ran 261 miles of the longest & most dangerous leg of the Serum Run.
Balto ran the last leg of only 55 miles, & got ALL THE CREDIT.
Togo was only 48 pounds. Leonhard Seppala was Togo's and Balto's owner. He said Togo was his greatest lead Sled Dog. Imagine a 12 year old lead Sled Dog leading his dog team over mountains on the longest (261 miles) and most difficult leg of the Serum Run. All the Mushers and their dogs were heroes. But Togo was the Serum Runs star Dog. NOT BALTO! TOGO WAS THE STAR!!!

The Chukchi people using the Siberian husky for hunting explains why they have such a high prey drive. Thank you for this video!

    • @toritori4430
      @toritori4430 Před rokem +1

      No it actually doesn't ,
The sibe has a high prey drive so it is self sufficient
It wasn't bred into them it was a natural biological feature used to their advantage .

  • @JustinSmithPYRO

We have a wooly siberian husky, her name is Luna, and she's your typical husky, except for one thing, she could care less about snow 😂 blew my mind 1st time she experienced snow, she was about 10 months old, took her out she spent about 40 seconds in it, and ran back in the house to be with the rest of our dog's that aren't huskies. Said to my wife, think she is broke 😂 and she came all the way from northern Michigan near the U.P. to us in Massachusetts. But we love her anyway. She actually looks more like a wolf then a husky. She's about 75 pounds has long legs, and actually does some wolf like thing's. But she's all 100% akc registered husky.

Siberia does not belong to Russia especially Eastern Siberia. It's North Asia. Chukchi people are not Russians they are Native Siberians just like the Sakha people. Please spread awareness of North Asia. The Russians are erasing its peoples and cultures.

And they DNA tested an ancient type of now extinct wolf that shared similar DNA with husky ,
It's long been attempted to re classify the husky as a separate species like fox coyote or wolf but kennel clubs being kennel clubs put their foot down said no along with vets and some animal experts who preferred shoe horning the traits of the husky to fit their understanding of dogs like labradors etc .
The husky is unique end of .

"The Soviets said the Siberian couldn't pull anything "
    That's just wrong ,
The Soviets wanted to purge the sibe from natives because they could catch them and bring them in line the russians knew the sibe was a top sled dog it was Alaskan Americans who said they could pull anything and called them russian rats .

For future reference, show the dog instead of your mug. There is absolutely no reason for self-inserts in this case. You're not arguing a point or teaching how to do something. Show the subject matter instead.
