I collect Barbie, Monster High, Ever After High, Rainbow High, LOL OMG, Na Na Na Surprise, Disney Princess Dolls and so many more! I love fashion dolls and I believe that dolls are the best toys for people to improve empathy and to explore their creativity!

There is an edible sugar shimmer powder you can buy to brush on cakes or fondant. And if you put a spoonfull of it into a drink it makes the same effect as the color reveal water. But its drinkable! I used to do it for new years so much!
I don't want the doll, but I need that liquid in one of those office toys that you just keep flipping 😅

but these dolls are so ridiculously taxed here! the fashionistas are only 20$ (which is really good w our usual taxing) but the color reveals are around 50$!!! absolutely ridiculous
if you buy yourself mica pigments (very easily available in a huge rainbow of colors!) and put them in bottles, you can make yourself lots of these! Just go for bottles that are round in shape for the best swirl: bulb-shaped, tube-shaped, etc. They have the least disruption of the swirling effect, unlike bottles with bumps or ridges or edges. :V
You can make it with pearlized hand soap and food coloring & water
To make that liquid. All you need is pearlized hand soap and it in a sealable clear plastic bottle ( like a coke bottle) 1/4 of the bottle pearlized soap. Add food coloring fill with water. You can add glitter if you want. Or vegetable oil for a lava lamp effect. If kids are going to play with it super glue the lid shut! I made these all the time for my preschool class as calm down jars.
Will it disintegrate over time?

that color change makes sense. The original colors were really close to cyan and magenta in color, and when you add those together, you get true blue or purple. :V
Also, who just wants to send Melissa a pile of different-colored mica pigments and empty glass bottles so she can make her own sensory bottles? XD I totally understand, though. I'm also obsessed with the swirly waters, I just make my own instead of getting barbies for it. Though the barbies ARE pretty cute, and I keep meaning to get some. 😆

@@MyWorldMelissa Oh man, gurl! It's super easy, honestly! You just put a very tiny amount of pigment powders into the water in a bottle and it's exactly what those barbie bottles are! Less is better with the powders, and there are SO many colors! Like here! www.amazon.com/dp/B07J1CFSSV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_7S372J7WD582P4WB8429 They're used in resin, cosmetics, and even food, you just want to be careful about breathing them in because they're measured in micron-sized grains! Think microscopic!
If you're worried about the water mildewing, I've heard you can add things like alcohol or dish soap (and the soap is supposed to apparently help the powders stay suspended for longer? Or you can use glycerin, too, I think,) but I've had a lot of bottles with just water and haven't noticed any mildew in them after they sat on the shelf for a few years, now!
I recommend glass bottles instead of plastic, since the water will evaporate just a little bit over time, and then cause the bottle to bulge inward as it creates a lower pressure inside, and you've probably also noticed the way round-shaped bottles hace a great swirl effect. I've noticed that it seems to be best when they're rounded: ball-shaped (think those clear, glass christmas bulbs meant for crafting. Those can just be very very thin and fragile) or cylinders or tear-drop shaped! Any sort of internal ridges or bumps will cause a bit of drag on the water, so it won't swirl for as long.
It can be a super fun project, and as cheap as the materials are, you can really be creative with colors, bottle shapes, etc. And then decorating the bottles could be another project entirely! Me and my sister are sort of R&Ding making "crystal ball" and "snow globe" style sensory bottles like this! It's just taking some time because, you know, life and being productive members of adilt society can sometimes take up all your crafting time. lol
Also, side note re: food and cosmetic uses: Mica itself is an inert, non-toxic mineral that's mined from the Earth and is safe for use in food in small amounts, but I wouldn't use pigments meant for resin or even cosmetics in my food. You don't know how they've processed those or what the dyes they used are, so best to just leave them in the swirly waters. If you want to add them to your bottles of vodka for fun adult drinks because you have an irresistable urge to drink glitter? Stick to the food-grade. It's sold in baking sections or specifically for the purpose of putting into alcohol. 😆 They even used to sell a liquer with it already in there in berry and fruity flavors called Viniq that even my doesn't-drink-much-alcohol self was OBSESSED with before they discontinued it! 😖 CURSES!
It's alright, though. I just bought a tiny pot of the food-grade stuff and put it in my fizzy waters so I can enjoy swirly water *and* tasty drinks!
Glad you got to enjoy another Metalic Color Reveal. The water is one of the best . I have about 15 color reveal including the complete Mermaid Color Reveal collection which had some of the best hair.

Yes to more of the metallic videos! I find it relaxing to watch, and in this case the water is so fabulous, turning to purple with silvery streaks and when swirled settling into bands of soft looking swirls. Very enjoyable to watch. Thanks!

If you have a hot glue gun, you can use hot glue to plug up the hole in the lid. If you do it right, you can get a little bit of the glue to go through the whole income through on the other side, this way it creates kind of like a seal so the hot glue doesn't just pop off the slick plastic of the lid.

I got the Slumber Party Color Reveal set. The game was fun, and I love all the accessories. But the wig will not stay on the doll; it is too loose, too big for her head. And the pony tail for Chelsea doesn't go all the way in, so it looks weird, not realistic at all. I noticed on a video you did that the pony tail Barbie has what looks like a hair band on it so it looks a lot better.
