Chancaca, answer for a sustainable economy in the Amazon

  • Families from the Tacana Cavineños Indigenous Territory strengthened their capacities in the management of sugar cane and produced specific products such as chancaca (sugar cane honey tablets) for later commercialization.
    This project developed activities in four indigenous territories of the northern Amazon of Bolivia: Chácobo Pacahuara, Tacana - Cavineños, Cavineños de la Amazonia and Multiétnico II, benefiting a total of ninety-eight communities and 2,208 families in 6 years of project life 2018 and 2023.
    The project implementation agency was the Plurinational Authority of Mother Earth (APMT) and the Indigenous Central of the Amazon Region of Bolivia (CIRABO) was a strategic partner.
