So you don't sell just the sounds that can be loaded onto an existing accordion?

I do not sell anything. I am a support person for the folks who purchase a Dale Mathis Edition Roland accordion from Kraft Music in Milwaukee.

I love my FR-1xb so much but I am about to outgrow it. Thinking of making the leap to a 4xb. 8xb just is not going to happen.

the little 1x is fun, but you may be ready for the 4x model. It has a much bigger sound and choice of excellent tones.

Thanks, Dale. Great introduction to the V-accordions! I have some few questions:
1. Is it possible to save a set from my 4x (on an usb stick) and load it into the 1x?
2. And if yes (which would be nice), will it then sound the same on the 2 instruments?
3. But if not, is it possible then to save the individual accordion and orchestra sounds from the 4x and load it into the 1x to create a set similar to my fav set on the 4x?
4. Is it possible to play dual mode bass and chords on the 1x (similar to the 4x)?

The 4x and 1x models are two different generations of Roland products. No information can be transfered from one generation to the other.

@@bennymadsen1152 I just had a meeting with Roland comany executives. The good news is that they are not planning to ax the accordion line, despite very small production numbers. They do not have to spend more money on the product segment, so it will continue as it is in the forseeable future. There will be no new Roland accordion models. FYI - no accordion company is making big money in this business, they are all "just getting by" because they love making accordions. They are not making a huge pay check.

​@@dalematthies Thanks for sharing the insights. But it is a kind of sad with the low sales numbers. The FR-4x is truly a fantastic instrument! When I got it I was overwhelmed by all the details they have build into the instrument. Obviously Roland has spend A LOT of time (and money) in devloping the instrument. I am thinking about buying the 1x to use as a "summerhouse instrument". Do you think I will like the 1x sounds compared to the 4x? Of course the 2x7W speakers will not compete with the 4x, but using quality headphones or a small PA-system, will the sound quality then be compareble to the 4x?

Can you pl play different pieces for different sounds when you demonstrate? That one piece of same six or seven notes you play over and over again gets on my nerves for some reason.
