    Thanks for a very good, most informative and non pretentious demo. Love the way you don't show off!

    An excellent and well explained video without the usual BS. Congratulations. Thanks for your information.A quick question please if you don’t mind. Is there a reggae drum beat within the system ? Thank you.

      Hey Mitch, glad it was useful.
      The manual has this list : SimpleBeat1-4, GrooveBeat1-7, Rock1-4, Funk1-4, Shuffle1-5, Swing1-5, SideStick1-5, PercusBeat1-4, LatinBeat1-4,
      Conga1-3, Bossa1-2, Samba1-2, DanceBeat1-4, Metronome1-4,
      Not sure which of the styles if any would be reggae ish (not sure familiar with the rhythm). Unfortunately away from my pedal or id have a play around!

    Very good review. Really good pedal. Maybe I would also talk about the differences between the play modes (single vs multi), but I understand that if you go in depth the video would be much longer 😅
    One question I have regarding this pedal is the series vs parallel track chain. I have this pedal and I read the documentation, but I can’t understand what’s the difference between both…

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp Před 2 lety +2

      Single vs multi is whether the two tracks can be played simultaneously (multi) or just one at a time (single).
      Series and parallel is to do with the chain / order the sound goes. Series will connect track 1, 2 and output in sequence while parallel means both tracks are simultaneously being output. I am not 100 percent on what the application is for this, it seems to be to be if you want to do soemthing complicated with the outputs, as the two quarter inch outputs can be customised in terms of which track is output where.
      Hope this helps!

    good video. I'm watching several tutorials for this pedal and I've realized that it has a bug when playing track 2, the first time it's played right after recording, a few tenths of a second of recording disappears, it's like it started late.... and I have seen it in other videos of this pedal. The truth is that I am quite disappointed because I have ordered it from Thomann. it's a shame 😔

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp Před rokem

      Hey Gele, I had a think about this and I think the reason for this could be that by default there is a sync feature enabled between the tracks, this means that after recording track 1 it expects track 2 to have a duration that is equal or some multiple of track 1, I believe the pedal will slice what you record in track 2 in order to force this, which may lead to the start getting chopped off.
      I think you can def disable this functionality though it is rather useful if you have complicated loops

      Yep for sure! Though Boss have some other multi track pedals which are better for desktop use ( using your hands ) for example the RC202!

    Hi, congratulations for the video!
    A question, can I use the external pedal (BOSS FS-7 or FS-6) to start (and possibly stop) a backig track (a .wav file saved in "track" memory)? Thank you.

    Thanks a lot for the video. Please heeeelp. Here is the description of my problem. I have a recorded loop. If I switch directly in the menu to a drum variation or pattern, everything works as it should - the drums change in the desired way, while the loop continues to play continuously. However, if I change the drums like this using an external switch (Boss FS-7, via the Assign function), the drums will change as desired, but the loop recording will repeatedly scrub on the beat on the last note. Where can be the problem. Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hey man, thanks for the demo. I just got mine today, it's a great pedal. But the mic gain doesn't seem to be much. Even with the mic gain knob all the way up, the mic volume is still low. Is there a solution for this?

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp Před 4 měsíci

      Hey, I had a similar problem. What kind of mic are you using? I had this issue with a dynamic mic, the solution was to buy a 'fet head', this is a little adapter that goes between the mic XLR and the pedal, then use the phantom power option on the pedal, which boosts the signal

    Ok I would like to hear the loop effects, slicer reverse etc. Is the sound quality noticeably better than say RC3? Do the drum kits have percussion instruments like shakers etc and can u build rhythms from hand percussion instruments. Any tablas in there? Can u import these from elsewhere?

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp Před 6 měsíci

      Can't answer all of this but I'll give a shot. I don't think the sound quality of loop effects/drums would be much different to the RC3. As for the customisability of the drums I don't believe you can import more (could be wrong). Don't recall seeing tabla in the list but you can check the parameters guide boss have made to see a list!

      No particular reason! Might have left it there or to have higher volume output

  • @MOAB-UT

    My RC-500 has a longish (5 seconds or so) delay AFTER I hit STOP. I notice this behavior even more on longer loops. At first I think I missed the button or the looper is broken, but several seconds later, it finally stops. This really throws me off. Especially because the Drums/Rhythm keeps going. To be usable, it needs to STOP immediately.
    I have about 10 other memories saved. Is it a buffer/memory issue? Do I need to update firmware? I have done resets in the past. I have it plugged into a 300ma supply. Do I need to upgrade the PSU? Otherwise I really love the Looper. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix? If my loop is very short, say 5 seconds, it STOPS immediately. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks all!

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp Před 9 měsíci +1

      I would be suspicious of the power supply, if you know someone who has one you could borrow I would try that. Either the psu or a faulty unit

      @@nish_ttp Thanks but I figured it out. I had to go into MEMORY and adjust to AUTO REC. It had been set to 28 seconds. Can you please explain the purpose of setting a specific time? You seem like an expert and I am still learning. I agree with you though- it's a fantastic pedal. Great audio quality, dual tracks, memory slots, etc. My FM9 had a Looper but this is much easier to use. The stereo outs to my studio monitors also sound great.

    I don't like the form factor of this pedal, I like the twin pedal designs of the RC-20XL and RC-30, or at least the standard Boss compact pedal design like the RC-1, RC-2, etc (I have really bad OCD, aside from wahs/Whammy, I only collect Boss pedals, or pedals shaped exactly like Boss pedals, like PSK Boss clones, I've had other pedals in the past, but they didn't match my Boss pedals, so I sold them all). I can't wait for people to criticize me for this, but it's something that really bothers me.

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp Před 11 měsíci

      @@nish_ttp I don't get mad over stuff like this, everyone has different tastes in gear. I am just very partial to Ibanez RGs going into Boss pedals, it's actually quite frustrating setting that kind of limitation on gear I use, but it's so satisfying seeing all the different colored Boss pedals chillin together on my pedal board/shelves, same with seeing my tidy guitar rack all lined up with pointy RGs. I have issues 🤣
