Hi! Just a little tip about the gas and paying at the pump. I had the same problem, so I used my envelope to purchase gift cards at the place I buy gas. That way, I could pay at the pump, but not mess up my cash, or zero based bank account balance. I also saved 5 cents per gallon for using a gift card. Thanks for all your tips!
The elastic in the inside of the cover was designed for the iPhone5. It fit perfect. Then apple increased the size of the iPhones. You can cut the stitching to the inner pen loop and then it will fit a current model iPhone. That’s how I use it and my Original with my phone is pretty much all I need when on the go.

I love your system. I use the zip top plastic envelopes for my money. They don't seem to take up much room. I have a ledger page that I put in the front to keep up with deposits and withdrawals. This has helped me a great deal. Thank you for sharing your system. I always enjoy seeing how other people handle life. ;)

This is such a nice planner! Yes I got super cheap card holders on Amazon too. I got it cheap! You just have to look around at all the options! Sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to find the right price on one thing.

Thanks for sharing! My wife and I have been struggling getting started on the envelope system and I think a lot had to do with getting a system we could stay orginized with and this helped out tons! Just a quick tip for you which may or may not be of importance a couple of the shots showed some of your cards security numbers on the back that you might block out like you did on the front of the cards. Im not positive if thats even a risk but just in case it is wanted to make sure your info was safe. Thanks again for this video I really appreciate it! Hope we can bring it together like your family and be on our way to finacial peace

Hi ! Thanks for this comment :) I will watch it again, because there ist a lot of informations.... I'm not organize with budget. I tried many times to beginn a budget plan but, it doen't work. The problem is : this is when you get money, you have to write it immediately or you forget it and it's really hard to don't forget. I thought to write when I go shopping but it's not really easy, you have to pay, you don't have enough time to put the items in a bag, to give money at the cashier..... Do you write immediately the money you spent ? I try to keep the bill of the shop but it's sems this is not easy to make an appointment with me to track my budget (OMG) I have procrastrination problems.... You told us that you don't put all the money in an envelope to a section, is it the best way? if I put money in an envelopp, I guess this is for spent this amount for grocery (example), if I keep money at home, I think I didn't correctly estimate the money I can spend, and the money is finally don't distributed. question: how do you keep the categories balanced when you go to, say, walmart, and you have food, household, clothing, pet food, etc and you put it through all together....so you track total as you shop or figure it out at home and adjust the envelopes then or what?
Yeah keep track as you shop and reconcile everything when you get home, at least that is what I do.

As I stated in another comment, the ones that I bought are no longer available. I would just search Amazon for personal size planner card holders. You should be able to find them that way.
I see that you let us know the specific card holders from amazon arent available, can you tell us what size the plastic inserts are?
This is a personal size planner, so look for inserts that size.

We've been doing this off and on for the past 9 years. The only reason we ever go "off" is because life gets in the way and I get lazy, but I love it! Solves so many problems!

I see you have $20.00 for household expenses, what do you do when you don't use that 20.00 that month? Do you add another $20.00 the next month or just keep $20.00 until you use it?
Anything that isn't used stays in that envelope and grows like a savings account for when it is needed.

I know this was a while ago but I just wanted you to know - please don't carry your social security card around with you. The only time you should ever need it is when you get a new job. If you accidentally leave this wallet somewhere you would lose your social security card. This would place you at a good chance of identify theft. Please lock it at home.
Yes, it does stay at home, it was just in here because I had just had an appointment which required it. The rest of the time our cards are safely locked away.
I'm sure someone has warned you already, but you are never supposed to carry your social security card around with you! Keep it safe at home, if something happens to your wallet you will be open to identity theft pretty much forever. :(
Yes, this happened to my son, he lost his wallet and he had his ss card inside with everything else. 2 weeks later i also lost my wallet, with everything in it including the ss card. I meant to take out the ss card and forgot to. I have had the same ss card for 51 years, always kept it in an accordion file at home. I put the ss card in my wallet when I was switching my residency from Maryland to Florida and went to the Motor Vehicle Adm. Totally forgot to take out the ss card. Had to file a police report and notify all of the credit bureaus, etc.
I saw your post today and realized it was a year old. The new SS card no long have your SS# on them. They are just a number that can be used by your Dr.'s office.

I have a question is PVC in plastic envelopes or plastic pockets going to harm me or will it just harm the money? Someone complained on Amazon about some plastic pockets having PVC in it and it damaged her money. Others have no complained about that. They all say great things about it. Anyway,thanks for sharing with us. What a great idea. I loved how your cash envelopes turned out. I love the cardstock.
I have no idea. My cards are in the plastic card holders but my money is in the card stock envelopes. Maybe if I left it there for 20 years there might be an issue???

You didn't want to go out & buy envelopes because you're following the Dave Ramsey method, but yet you purchased various kinds of card stock to "make" your own personalized envelopes...ok, yeah, sure, that makes sense!
Wrong. The card stock was used to make multiple different things and has held up for YEARS instead of flimsy envelopes that would have fallen apart after a couple of months so YES this did make perfect sense! It saved money, had multiple uses and I’m happy with the purchase. I’m sorry you felt the need to make assumptions about me and my decision and post it publicly here on CZcams. Have a good day.

You can buy silver envelopes on Etsy: have a look for yourself as I’m new to the planner world: but I saw a few, they looked pretty good. I was typing in something like planner (either accessories or dashboards), and I saw them come up so certainly I believe they would come up if you typed in planner cash envelopes. Best of luck, if you’re using the cash envelope/Dave Ramsey system for the first time - I wish you all the best and hope it goes well. Hope you had a fabulous Easter:)
I saw different one on Amazon. If,you are concerned about PVC you would have to ask the seller about that and I saw only one seller mentioned their plastic pocket/envelopes had PVC in them. A lot of people recommended,but one said it damaged her money. So,I am not sure about that. You got a lot of plastic pockets with a zip closer for under $20.
Look on Etsy. They have that kind of thing. Also pintetest.
