The GLX is definitely worth it, I have one for 7 months now, those LEDs are really helpful at night..this is a great budget car. I drive long distances on that small tank.
What is your average fuel consumption.
Can it go from Joburg to Durban in one full tank?
What is the riding quality like over those long distances and how do you feel about the performance of the engine (especially the issue of revs) when driving long distance? Is your vehicle an automatic or manual?

How much is full tank , if you don't mind sharing?
The Baleno is not an AMT, the models we get here is a Torque converter 4 speed auto, I just got the Baleno GLX auto, its a really good auto box, it sits at 3000 rpm at 120KM/H the same as the 5 speed manual. The gear ratios are good. The Fuel consumption on a mixed drive after doing 2000 km from new its around 6.3 liters per 100km

Yes the baleno ticks all the boxes.. except exterior wise. Great value for money. I just like the heads up display. Great review MrHowmuch😁👌🏾
Yeah the exterior could do with some improvement to give it that edge , but on the plus side they did a great job with the interior…

Video and pics don't do the interior justice. If you get a chance go to the nearest dealership and sit in one, you will come out impressed. Incredibly solid and comfortable, excellent use of plastics. I'm getting one!

Damn when you look at the Baleno GL vs the Polo Trendline then things look grim for the Polo. The Polo Vivo Trendline literally only has good looks and loyalty going for it😕

I've purchased a Polo Vivo and it came with a 3 year maintenance plan which is better than the service plan. I'm also wondering how good the resale value of the Baleno would be vs the Vivo. But honestly I feel like The Baleno would be the better buy.
What makes me the maintenance plan better?
@@Serpa_518 Service plan only includes your service consumables and labour. Maintenance includes above and in addition it covers wear and tear items: battery, wiper blades, bulbs, brake pads and discs; remote key battery, shocks, etc.
@Marcus don't be fooled by 'resale value'. The only people who benefit from resale value is the dealer or if you sell the car privately or trade in after about 6 years. If you trade in under 5 years, you don't really benefit from a resale value. I've seen this firsthand, way too many times.
Why don’t you mention that you paid extra for the maintenance plan? Also, I don’t think re sale value is a big issue for a car that costs less R 300 000. The likelihood of selling a budget is low for most South Africans. You prefer the Polo, that’s good and well but it doesn’t mean it’s value for money. Each to their own.
Even the GL has cruise control as standard. Polo 'Vivo' (isn't that a 10 year old car?) - wind up windows (remember those!), little funny stalks to adjust the mirrors ......

It is no longer sold in the U.K. for some reason it did not appeal to U.K. Buyers
I'm driving a standard line polo vivo 2019 and I'm paying 4k a month. I was dribbled ey🤣🤣. But I was high risk, younger, firt timer in the job market etc. But now I wanna trade it in for this one, but the trick is that I'm left with about 2 years to pay off the vivo.
Are you paying R4K for insurance?
I can foresee these cars becoming high risk eventually.....because ubher drivers are gonna upgrade from etios and polos. Give it a year and see...
So what must we do in the meanwhile? Use taxis?
I also think the GLX makes better sense. Those extra 4 airbags are worth the extra cash.

It varies with insurance providers. For example, Absa offers car insurance with tracker as part of thier package. Other insurance don't offer that kind package. Shop around for quotes and packages.

Suzuki baleno in Namibia is a big issue because the is only one dearship and its in the capital city while the is 7 toyota dearship country wide

If you are looking for a fast car don't buy the auto. It revs very high when you take off fast, so you have to be gentle.

It’s a proper car , if it’s too pricy for you , then you can check out the Suzuki Swift , it’s a bit cheaper but still really good.

No it doesn’t , unless the colour choice is an option you pay for but on the Baleno the colours are standard.
