Pretty much everybody feels like this that is on Discord and Facebook. Gumi has to have been giving the EoS papers, they are just doing as little as possible now to minimize costs and max profits before they are forced to say yeah the game is toast. If they say anything early the shops have to close and pretty much everybody will stop any spending they might have had in mind. So Gumi's plan seems to be to just go radio silent and keep the players guessing for as long as possible, some profit is better than zero.
I can not believe they are doing this to our beloved FFbe game. Gumi is letting such a beautiful game die, literally and they dont seem to care at all. Such a pity.
It’s obvious that they’re going to EOS shortly after Cloud is released because they want that one last money grab. They can’t even be bothered to pretend to put in any effort.
There's news in the GameSpot website about Square Enix cancelling projects and deciding to focus more on releasing big titles. FFBE is probably among the projects getting the axe soon. I was about to send a ticket to ask for a refund for my CoW Bracer thing that got nerfed but meh, why bother.
Whats so hurtful is that there are some people that spend hundreds or thousands on almost every banner and they won't even keep clash of wills up and running.

I played this game from launch until 5 years ago. The power creep and pull rates go so bad units were hardly good for a few weeks to a month. Every time I come back to look for nostalgia reasons it look like it continued to get so much worse. It amazing you guys put yourself through this. Hope you find something better to play.
Yeah, I think the writing is on the wall. Many FFBE players are still in denial while others have accepted and moved on. I will do what little content they have available just in case they attempt to pull the game back from the brink of death, but I'm not holding my breath. If they are keeping silent in an attempt to milk whatever profit they can until they announce EoS that is pretty dishonorable and would lead to an absolute loss of trust for Gumi and SQEX by me, personally. I have enjoyed your content and look forward to your future content regardless of whether it is FFBE-related or not.

Now Sartre, maybe it’s not for you, but with my growing frustration with global earlier this year I decided to give the JP server a whirl. Sure it’s a pain to get used to the Kanji and what not but once you do using resources the ffbe discord has made, it’s a blast to get consistent content every week (10 days actually but you get the point) If you just want to move on, well, I don’t blame you either
i honestly think its time to bow out. Probably, even during the 2 month long anniversary this year, it will be like this month, nothing to do except 1 hour worth of content for a entire month.
This news frustrates me for a few reasons. If they cannot financially support I would rather see them go out in a blaze of glory to honour the player base that has been here since day one, then let the flame drown in the candle wax👍🇨🇦
Yeah I'm done after Xenogears, I don't care about future units cause what are we gonna use them on? Global cuts every fight beyond farming stuff. I don't need the new super powerful Cloud and Clive that came out on JPN, Global will remove all the content like they did with the Esper of Destruction event and the Xenogears event. Just here is your farming stage that 7-star units can kill but please spend money pulling for these new NV+ units, you really need them honest!

Sigh ... old forum-mate, maybe I use another analogy instead - my uncle recently passed away at 84yo-ish. Before that, his filial son drove 6hrs across the borders north of Gumi-isle EVERY FRIDAY, and then 6hrs back to Gumi-isle country EVERY SUNDAY. For YEARS ... right after CNY, the uncle had a fall, had a stroke ... 1 month later, he was gone. Everyone was crying, but I was reflecting - he had a good life, and was surrounded by filial children and relatives on his deathbed. Had a grand sendoff ... that one month was for them to accept his inevitable demise. It's better than pulling the plug suddenly ... Same with Exvius. Using the time here wisely to accept the EoS is the better choice. But, also, NEVER support another SqEnix and Gumi gacha again. Their management made mistakes upon mistakes, and we are the ones who ended up losing a game that still has so much potential~!? Quite nonsensical, but hey, I live and work in Gumi-isle. I know how the place functions. It's our norm. *shrugs.
No SaGa event? Not following the schedule? Not extending the farming/banners for a LIIIIIITTTTLE extra time.... They axed their own tree that beared them the fruits for profits. EoS to the game. 🤦
After 2 years, I came back to the game last month and have been trying to catch up. Spending waaaay too much. basically I pulled on everything that was available to pull on, lapis and Paid haha. I was finally able to get rank 1 on COW and that's without some key units... and now this.... Don't care much about the money, frustrated I spent so much time, got hooked again and now ....
I feel you, and it's sad to see the state of the game. Hopefully you had fun and there will still be some stuff to do before EoS, just not as frequent as it used to be.

As someone who has also been playing for 7 years, I share in your frustrations. This game has nothing to do anymore, not even pull for new units to play with in COW, and just isn't fun.

It's not exactly sunken cost fallacy, because it isn't even about how much money anyone has spent on the game (if any), but it is a kind of sunken time/memory/emotion personal crisis that keeps some of us playing even through the worst of times. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this game is over 7 years old now (going on our 8th anni this June/July) so it is to be expected and has essentially been forecast for about a year now. There was still some hope until the last couple of months where content dropped to basically non-existent. The game isn't going to close tomorrow. We'll get our 8th anniversary, but will the game make it to the end of this year? That's questionable.

I started playing the game several months after global launch when during the Fencer, Juggler and thief banner! Back then, the game was good when 6* wasn't a thing and some 4* units were even "good"! Anyway I quit when they introduce Neovision and CoW just killed it for me. Was clear the game became more P2W as using the f2p units for CoW was not enough!

I played this game several months after launch when the banner was Fencer, Juggler and Thief! Back then the game was good when the non 6* units were usable including some of the 4*! Realise the introduction to CoW, the game had become p2w as f2p units wasn't enough to clear CoW on 100!

Anything is possible. People have theorized that GL is heading towards a merger with the JP server, like they did with WoTV. That could be the future of this game, but who knows, as Gumi never communicates things like this with the community.
I just started again last month, last time being when KH Cloud came out. Noticed there not a lot going on. Theres 2 events in vortex for a clear campaign with 1st clear rewards i see no exchange for. Am I wrong and there is a place to exchange? Or is it really gotten that bad?
Yep, they're both old rerun events, the exchange tickets are worthless because the shops closed back when the original events ended. It's an thinly veiled attempt to keep people playing the game during this dead month, because we supposedly get rewards for a certain number of clears of each event.

I've heard mixed reviews about it, and maybe once FFBE closes its doors I'll give it a try. As much as I am frustrated with the game, I'm going to play until EoS because it's not that far off now so might as well go down with the ship.

the mechanic is so difrent, ffbe is a clasical turn based JRPG with some chain mechanic, while wotv is tactical rpg ff tactics, some people r uncomfy with this genre n get confuse by it. also, ffbe is fast build character, u pull certain unit, n build it within a day n its possible. while u know, wotv is a marathon. it even takes three month if u decided to slowly build a unit to 140 not to mention the repetitive process if u want to fully stat it. so the psychological approach to the game is a way to diffrent. n i'm among who enjoyed both of this game, but many has drop their flag when they know wotv is a marathon game

It appears that some of the GL team have been pulled over to the JP server, so the GL crew must be quite small at this point.
