I think the death threats line is important to show the contrast of extreme reactions for something so small and simple a thing of liking someone. Like she just was happy with someone so now look how extreme things got. Small to out of control

Being completely honest, if I had to point out a victim in this story, I'd say it's Sabrina, the amount of shit she had to go through, all because she liked a boy (aha), including death threats, to this day I see Olivia's fans on the internet attacking her, and when it all broke out at the time, she wasn't even with him anymore. and this song is incredibly good.
