I have some tips & suggestions for those who want to copy the talent pool at 22:50 . 1) For those who are trying to find the ice pool, you may have some difficulty. The Ice Quetzal is not able to be put in the kiosk, so that’s why they are on Beguiled Gargoyles. To find them, you will need to search Beguiled Gargoyle, click the left arrow ONCE, then right arrow about 80-90+ times. It sucks because there’s so many Beguiled Gargoyles in the kiosk, but they’re definitely there. 2) It’s HIGHLY recommended you use the ancient bases for Fire, Myth, and Life. This is because these pets have the EXACT same boon placement in the talent pool. There are a LOT of adult bases that have the incorrect boon, so hatch with the original source. If you look at the visual, you can see the order of talents by using the circles on the right side of each talent. That’s how you properly pool read. 3) Just because it says “45 pedigree” does not mean it has the exact talents for a particular school. Always make sure that the base you’re hatching with has the SAME EXACT order provided in the image! 4) Finally, if you are using a desired pet to hatch with the pets shown at 22:50 , DON’T continue transferring talents if you got the WRONG PET BODY BACK. Always re-hatch with your desired pet body, and back-track to your most recent base to re-hatch if you get the wrong pet back. Kill two birds with one stone, don’t make it harder on yourself. Work with your successes. Good luck!
I'll preface this with the fact that I am brand new to Wizard101. You seem pretty knowledgeable so I'll ask. I'm trying to get the Firestorm Quetzal for Storm. I only have the Storm cat pet, and I tried hatching with a Young Bandit Storm Quetzal and just got the same Storm cat back. Am I missing something or misinterpreting what I am supposed to be doing? Or should I just try again when i get the gold and I just got unlucky? It cost me nearly 20k, so I'd like to know so i don't just waste it on hatching.
@@lourdegourde we’re aiming for the quetzal’s STATS, not the APPEARANCE of it. You aim to line up your baby’s talent with the dots of the quetzal you hatched with as well as the 250 stat talents of the strength, etc stuff. Keep training your hatched baby to adult and hatching with the quetzal with the newest adult you trained. The appearance doesnt matter, just continue hatching

HUGE!! Only thing I’d add is adding reshuffle to early game decks just in case you run out of hits! Otherwise this is really good, makes me excited to make my new characters.
All this info is available elsewhere but to have it all compiled in one place is really helpful for newer players questing through the game their first time, this kinda stuff is probably what makes them not quit early on and push through with ease. Likely a video I would recommend to any new player asking for a startup guide.

Also a tip that I’d recommend is forcing yourself to leave marks at spots to quest faster. There are also other movement methods to get around faster but they are not technically allowed

I used to play wizard 101 back in yhe day and was max level....then the level squish happened and I stopped playing so I'm glad there's a guide like this to give me a catch up for my come back
Another advanced tutorial on howto pvp: either quit your job, and start farming 24/7 for getting all the pay2win spellments, gear and stuff, or end up paying a lot of money to stay at the top 100 leaderboards. or you get smart and download some botting software which automaticly farms for you :)
facts. I quit pvp 2 years ago when I realised what was the grind for? Complete waste of time. And any skills you learnt would be irrelevant if your school becomes unplayable

How the turn tables 🤣 Like you said, game is still top tier. It's a comfort game that allows you to socialise with others or do something when you're bored.
I have learned a few things from this guide despite having characters on wizard101 for over 12 years. Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into making this guide for everyone! Most of my add-ons or critiques for this guide have already been stated by others in the comments, BUT I'd like to add that MYTH school is interchangeable for primary damage with FIRE (if there is no storm). IF you are myth school, you do NOT need to act as blade support for fire/storm. Myth currently has the strongest 7 pip aoe in game and can match fire for damage stats. Difference is, fire school is great for dot damage (Damage Over Time), whereas myth school has better single shot damage. If you have to act in a support role as a myth, you should use shatter, pierce, and stun-all spells (use stun when enemies are about to hit with higher pip spell or when you suspect they will blade) to help minimize mob damage done to your team. Outside of that, you can shield teamates and feint the enemy, while support schools (life, balance, ice, or if none are available, death school or if you have 2 people of the same school, chose 1 to hit and the other to blade the hitter) cast elemental/universal blades and traps for the main damage dealer.
Spoken like a storm wizard lol. Tell that to all the life and death school players who only have single hits for all of arc 1. I mean, ice doesn’t even get their blade until level 38. Clearly there must be SOME complexity worth discussing, yes?

Hecc how wud a new player even get the snacks to hatch 😂 . Put simply start the game with myth fire or storm get thru quickly and u can easily farm couch potatoes
The Spiral Gauntlet is also another option for free to play energy gear which offer more energy. Also you missed the most obvious one the FIVE Boxes event. Which you don't need to have a friend owning the gauntlet to farm. Additionally crafting the ring and athame from wintertusk gives you extra energy at level 56.
I found that the spiral gauntlet was not worth farming. I’ve trialed almost everything in the game to see how good drop rates are. Of course rng is different on accounts so perhaps mentioning the spiral gauntlet would have been good. It seems like giving more options to the community isn’t actually helpful if rates are worse than a better option. I appreciate your feedback, let me know what the five boxes event is for? :)
@@TntosionOfficial Five boxes drops Greenwarden's level 80 energy hat robe and boots. As far as those gauntlets go I got one robe one my first try but nothing since, nothing on the Spiral Cup but my friend got several pieces while we tried. 5 Boxes is where the majority of my 2 accounts worth of hats, robes and boots come from.
Im begging you, this is such a good guide, but whatever you did to your audio, I think you EQ'd all the lows and highs out so it's just a bassy filtered mess it needs to be fixed.

Great guide overall. Although you state that 102 is the earliest you can receive an extra pip deck. You can actually receive an extra pip deck as early as level 95 from some of the bosses in Khrysalis.
You're right. I wonder how many people are willing to farm the 95 deck if they can purchase from the bazaar at 102. The target audience for my guide was those who want to complete the game the fastest to save themselves money on their membership, but if they managed to get the pip deck earlier then ofc there is no need to upgrade in the bazaar :)
@@TntosionOfficial that's fair. I mainly pointed it out because you mentioned farming the wands which some people would also say are not worth farming. But from my experience the Khrysalis wand and deck drop rates really aren't too bad so I'd say they're worth it. Being able to turn 2 into a 7 pip aoe earlier is always a nice feeling :P
@@OmegaNoob500 Valid! I'm more of a Bazaar gal so i never farmed for the khrsalis stuff. Just bought whatever to get by as there are always new upgrades that required intense farming. Now some dungeons have become completely irrelevant overtime haha
I'd say myth is more efficient than fire, Fire's damage over time spells take more turns to deal the same amt of dmg as other non-fire spells. Though, It's a great one to throw your training points into with myth or death as your school.
22:30 one small correction I'd make is which schools benefit the most from each pet/mount combo, as life and ice actually get 1% more damage from going with the fire/neutral one (since the neutral portion is 5%) than with the ones with class specific damage rolls, so the only time you're not using the teal/red pair are on storm and myth wizards (for max damage).
Just a tip to anyone that actually wants to make a SERIOUS pet then quint damage is not the way to go. 4 extra school specific damage is not nearly as effective as 3 universal pierce or 11 universal resistance. Especially when youre a max level and your damage is already 210+ while your pierce is likely around 50. 1 extra point in pierce is 4 times as effective as 1 extra point in damage because theres a diminishing return and your damage is already high.
I was in the Bazaar, shop open and disconnected yesterday but yes usually you won't be. My friend told me both her wizards lost connect too so maybe something happened game wide.
yeah, the popular deck setup doesn't work for all bosses. like double arcane toad or armored ned collie where he takes your blades and you have to have an more hits to deal with his constant shielding and other bosses with cheats that work around this. I've done this deck all throughout my playthroughs of wizard101 and kept finding myself having to change it constantly to something not even similar. quake charmer for example, i had to use low pip spells and i only beat him once i spammed fire elves and like one sunbird. the fact that most endgame bosses are like this makes it impossible to boss or play the game with this kind of deck. i don't understand how most people do it i need some other tips for decks besides these. but i cant find it anywhere else
You need to adjust the information on decks because you can get triangle slot decks from level 25. However I usually go with Deck of the Lotus at level 30. Not to mention crafted at level 55. You can also get an extra pip deck with a triangle slot at level 95 in Khrysalis and a better one, crafted from Darkmoor at level 100.
You can still make stronger TC of your 7pip AoE using Gargantuan. Other high-level spells can be made through this method too, like King Art until the 10 pip tree spells. This way You have them as TC and use them when needed.
Looking at this now… it’s crazy to believe that I was soloing bosses in Azteca with my fire. 😭😂 I was blading myself and trapping the boss and hitting them with sun serpent.
yep. If you dont have a good pet you wont have enough damage to kill. The guide is mainly for those that picked the offensive school of Storm, Fire, death and Myth that I recommended. Ice and Balance take too long to kill

I have to disagree with you about which school is best for beginners! You said either Fire or Myth and excluded Death because Death didn't have an AOE! Death can get an AOE spell at any level including level one by getting the Gloomy Eye pet and at level 15 can buy Scarecrow TC's from the librarian in the Arcanum! Also Death would be the better option because of Drain Spells or heal back spells especially soloing and in dungeons that do not have the health wisps floating around! Death Wizards seldom ever need to use potions or heals! Can't say that about the other six schools!
When it comes to pet breeding: I've worked through a few different hatches and finally have one where the talents match, but the derby talents don't. Do just the talents on the front card need to match the kiosk Quetzal, or do all derby talents need to be common as well?

As a newer (death school) player, how come I want both sets of blades and not just the one for my school? I don't see myself using the other schools spells
For elemental blades/traps, as Death your job would typically end up being support when you're with a Fire or Storm Wizard. This isn't always the case, since there are people that don't have a good set up, but it is a good thing to be ready for. To be honest, I do think all schools should train both sets of blades and traps, but that's partly because I'm fine playing support, as well as the sheer amount of Training Points throughout the game.

@Aceofspades311 Pretty much, yeah. Death has the advantage that it COULD still be a hitter since it doesn't have as low damage as ice or life, but is more suited to support. At least that's often how I play it.

Yes but you contradict yourself by talking about the the crafted energy wand! Which I might add the wand was the hardest thing to craft even for hardened crafters. besides it is best athame until level 90 with little effort, if as you say collect all reagents early. plus benefits of being energy gear too.@@TntosionOfficial
Please refer back to the video where I mentioned you self hatch once you successfully duplicated the pet talents onto parents. Now that you have an exact duplicate of the other persons pet, you don't need to keep reaching out to them because you have a clone. Of course you can continue hatching with the owner if you like :)
@@Jacob.Ponce01 Cloning is when you copy all the talents, right? But Isn't the chance higher of manifesting a talent you want if the parent has that talent manifested? That's at least my experience.
Hello! If you're still having trouble finding the ice bases, you select 'Beguiled Gargoyles', then you need to press the left arrow ONCE, then right arrow 80-90+ times. There's so many Beguiled Gargoyles due to the amount that people put in the kiosk, hence why it's hard to find. Best of luck!

As far as those gauntlets go I got one robe one my first try but nothing since, nothing on the Spiral Cup but my friend got several pieces while we tried. 5 Boxes is where the majority of my 2 accounts worth of hats, robes and boots come from.

Great guide overall. Although you state that 102 is the earliest you can receive an extra pip deck. You can actually receive an extra pip deck as early as level 95 from some of the bosses in Khrysalis.
You're right. I wonder how many people are willing to farm the 95 deck if they can purchase from the bazaar at 102. The target audience for my guide was those who want to complete the game the fastest to save themselves money on their membership, but if they managed to get the pip deck earlier then ofc there is no need to upgrade in the bazaar :)
@@TntosionOfficial that's fair. I mainly pointed it out because you mentioned farming the wands which some people would also say are not worth farming. But from my experience the Khrysalis wand and deck drop rates really aren't too bad so I'd say they're worth it. Being able to turn 2 into a 7 pip aoe earlier is always a nice feeling :P
@@OmegaNoob500 Valid! I'm more of a Bazaar gal so i never farmed for the khrsalis stuff. Just bought whatever to get by as there are always new upgrades that required intense farming. Now some dungeons have become completely irrelevant overtime haha
I'd say myth is more efficient than fire, Fire's damage over time spells take more turns to deal the same amt of dmg as other non-fire spells. Though, It's a great one to throw your training points into with myth or death as your school.

22:30 one small correction I'd make is which schools benefit the most from each pet/mount combo, as life and ice actually get 1% more damage from going with the fire/neutral one (since the neutral portion is 5%) than with the ones with class specific damage rolls, so the only time you're not using the teal/red pair are on storm and myth wizards (for max damage).
Just a tip to anyone that actually wants to make a SERIOUS pet then quint damage is not the way to go. 4 extra school specific damage is not nearly as effective as 3 universal pierce or 11 universal resistance. Especially when youre a max level and your damage is already 210+ while your pierce is likely around 50. 1 extra point in pierce is 4 times as effective as 1 extra point in damage because theres a diminishing return and your damage is already high.

yeah, the popular deck setup doesn't work for all bosses. like double arcane toad or armored ned collie where he takes your blades and you have to have an more hits to deal with his constant shielding and other bosses with cheats that work around this. I've done this deck all throughout my playthroughs of wizard101 and kept finding myself having to change it constantly to something not even similar. quake charmer for example, i had to use low pip spells and i only beat him once i spammed fire elves and like one sunbird. the fact that most endgame bosses are like this makes it impossible to boss or play the game with this kind of deck. i don't understand how most people do it i need some other tips for decks besides these. but i cant find it anywhere else

You need to adjust the information on decks because you can get triangle slot decks from level 25. However I usually go with Deck of the Lotus at level 30. Not to mention crafted at level 55. You can also get an extra pip deck with a triangle slot at level 95 in Khrysalis and a better one, crafted from Darkmoor at level 100.
Balance is a very good school for PvE as well have access to healing and plenty of utility spells.

You can still make stronger TC of your 7pip AoE using Gargantuan. Other high-level spells can be made through this method too, like King Art until the 10 pip tree spells. This way You have them as TC and use them when needed.

Im a balancr player on level 30 but having less than 10 cards is insanely ineffective for me as long as i can tell, you would need more than few aoes
yep. If you dont have a good pet you wont have enough damage to kill. The guide is mainly for those that picked the offensive school of Storm, Fire, death and Myth that I recommended. Ice and Balance take too long to kill

I have to disagree with you about which school is best for beginners! You said either Fire or Myth and excluded Death because Death didn't have an AOE! Death can get an AOE spell at any level including level one by getting the Gloomy Eye pet and at level 15 can buy Scarecrow TC's from the librarian in the Arcanum! Also Death would be the better option because of Drain Spells or heal back spells especially soloing and in dungeons that do not have the health wisps floating around! Death Wizards seldom ever need to use potions or heals! Can't say that about the other six schools!

When it comes to pet breeding: I've worked through a few different hatches and finally have one where the talents match, but the derby talents don't. Do just the talents on the front card need to match the kiosk Quetzal, or do all derby talents need to be common as well?
I think the commons just affect how cheap the hatches are , just try to get the exact match up for the pet talents

As a newer (death school) player, how come I want both sets of blades and not just the one for my school? I don't see myself using the other schools spells
For elemental blades/traps, as Death your job would typically end up being support when you're with a Fire or Storm Wizard. This isn't always the case, since there are people that don't have a good set up, but it is a good thing to be ready for. To be honest, I do think all schools should train both sets of blades and traps, but that's partly because I'm fine playing support, as well as the sheer amount of Training Points throughout the game.

@Aceofspades311 Pretty much, yeah. Death has the advantage that it COULD still be a hitter since it doesn't have as low damage as ice or life, but is more suited to support. At least that's often how I play it.

Yes but you contradict yourself by talking about the the crafted energy wand! Which I might add the wand was the hardest thing to craft even for hardened crafters. besides it is best athame until level 90 with little effort, if as you say collect all reagents early. plus benefits of being energy gear too.@@TntosionOfficial
Why do you recommend self-hatching over finding someone on a discord lending for free? Should be higher chance to get you desired talents.
Please refer back to the video where I mentioned you self hatch once you successfully duplicated the pet talents onto parents. Now that you have an exact duplicate of the other persons pet, you don't need to keep reaching out to them because you have a clone. Of course you can continue hatching with the owner if you like :)

Hello! If you're still having trouble finding the ice bases, you select 'Beguiled Gargoyles', then you need to press the left arrow ONCE, then right arrow 80-90+ times. There's so many Beguiled Gargoyles due to the amount that people put in the kiosk, hence why it's hard to find. Best of luck!
