Bought it based on this review. I went with Cherry MX Blues and I like the sound and feel of the keys. I didn't expect it to be 10x heavier than the stock keyboard but I'm sure it's a good sign.
Cherry MX? I asked Redragon they told me they accept only Outemu and Akku switches in their keyboards, specially for Mitra K551 which is the same as this one.
Got this keyboard from a friend, while mine is a slight bit different than yours (Patterns are a little different) it is still definitely worth it. One of the best keyboards I've ever used, and for a cheap price too.

This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but am not a big fan of how the key is registered at like a half press or so, and not a full press. Otherwise I think this keyboard is good
@@ciberkid22 I had blues (the keyboard reviewed). This video describes mechanical keyboards and switch differences czcams.com/video/Ps5DEeSBl5s/video.html I think from that video they state the difference is blues have a 'bump', browns have a quiet 'bump' and reds are a smooth press all the way down. I tried a K552 Redragon as well which I think uses reds and is much quieter but feels worse to type on than my membrane keyboard. I'm buying a new keyboard today (Tecware Phantom) after my redragon k551 was faulty (tried the k552 because amazon incorrectly sent it to me), which should also have OTEMU blues so I can let you know if there's a difference when it arrives by the 16th.
Ordered mine yesterday for CSGO😀🙂. Decided to go with the rainbow version instead of RGB, because for some weird reason the RGB version has blue switches, instead of the better red switches in the cheaper rainbow version.

Thanks for the detailed real user review. All youtubers try to sell what they are showing hiding real user experience. Thank for not being one of those. Lost my 20$ yesterday on a keyboard which was praised by many youtubers but in reality it was almost unusable. ASUS TUF K1, very poor backlighting, which doesn't work neither in lit room nor in dark.
first of all, my light effects are way different and far worse... not sure whats up with that. there's only like 8 on mine (10 if you count on and off) and most of them are pretty lame. but it has a "custom key mapping ability" where i can select any amount of keys to have lit and then save that as a preset. not an animation but just on or off keys. other then that page up deletes that preset you can create and thats it, some of the animations you have actually look decent, on mine i have literally one that isn't just spamming the lights around and is nice/smooth (actually now that i look at it, your board seems to be able to use a slower speed for the animations too....theres only 4 speeds on mine,it looks like you have more then 6 speeds) for me fn and insert is the only way to toggle through the presets , home and del dont do anything, i mean it's whatever for 60 CAD but still wtf? why do you get 18 or so animations (most of witch look decent) and i get 8 (with 1 decent one) and some lame key mapping ability ? aswell my board has noticeable ping on the keys. @@fayzereviews that's awesome! So i just ordered the compact version, without the number pad... will that have the same animations? Also no batteries or anything right, the USB cable connected is the charging?
Iv'e just got it yesterday, and i found out that the Redragon K551 Mitra/Vara has a replaceable mechanical switch... sadly it will not fit if you use a Genuine Cherry MX Switches the main reason for that Cherry MX Switches has a wider/fatter contact pin than the chinese clones like Outemu, Kailh and Gateron and some later models of K551 Mitra/Vara and depending on the Region/Country they not include Extra Switches and Switch puller
@@TitanBeats Well... there's a lot of existing o-rings on the market that will fit on clone variants of Cherry MX swtiches such as Gateron, Kaihl or Outemu.... Unless your keyboard switches has "Dustproof" design.. i dont know if the o rings will fit on those switches.. Personally i like the Red Outemu linear switches
