Anyone noticed the hook isnt actually in this version. Something to do with Ruckus the Wu Tangs dope man who wrote it. I'm thinking he asked for his piece of the pie and it wasn't big enough so told them to stop using it. ''We got stick-up kids, corrupt cops and crack rocks and stray shots, all on the on block that stays hot'' this bar contains more brilliance than I will ever be able to produce in my lifetime.
TheRealDirtyDan That's exactly how rap started, about rappers or artist telling us about their life.
TheRealDirtyDan take your backpack elsewhere
And nothing ive heard in last 10 years in mainstream pop "rap" can touch that line
Yo I rewinded it just to hear that part, that shit was like the best bar on this track.
I've always said that. This line
This is not a song, this is like a feeling, if you know what I mean...
I feel you kid
Feel you I kid
Every songs is a feeling man, thats why we listen to music, because music create emotions. It's not only lyrics and melody, it's a vibe, a frequency ... You can have the best lyrics in the world but if theres no energy and harmony in it most people wont like it. Music must be a reflection of you and your emotional state, it must come from your heart.
You know im french and sometimes i dont understand everything US rappers says, but i know when its real and when its not ... When i hear Numb or savage mode from 21savage i can feel his pain, his anger, his sadness and his frustration to have been a poor ghetto kid, to have made the wrong decision, to have become a gangster, to have lost many friends, almost lost his life and to be addicted to pain killers.
Same when i hear Pain from tupac, codeine crazy from future, my life from Lil wayne and game or lord give me a sign from DMX.
Then when i hear songs like streets is watching, Black gangster, people's court, i shot ya or jigga my nigga from JAYZ i know he really lived that life, i know he was a real drug dealer/gangster ... The lyrics, the energy, the tons, the flow .. It's really like he's telling you his story.
Same with Drake when i hear songs like Marvin's room, aston martin music or find your love i know he talk about a real girl and in songs like im on one, pound cake or over i know he meant everything he said .. Drake is 100%invested in his music, he is so confident he literaly spoke things into existence in im on one he said " And what's up with these new niggas ? And why they think it all comes so easy .. But get it while you here boy, cause all the hype dont feel the same next year boy, Yeahh, and i'll be right here in my spot, with a little more cash than i already got, trippin off you cause you had your shot, with my skin tanned and my hair long and my fan who been so patient, me and forty back to work but we still smell like a vacation, hate the rumors hate your bullshit hate these fucking allegations, im just feeling like the throne is for the taking .. Watch me take it !" ...
And like he said in pound cake "you know it's real when you are who you think you are" 💯💯💯
Feels like New York.

Im a super introvert person and i remember when I was 15 yeras old and went to see a Wu Tang concert all by muself because my friends couldn’t join me. I remember being super tired from the trip and i didnt know anyone in the crowd seeing as this concert was very far from where I lived at the time.
As I said im super introvert and so while i was waiting for wu tang with the crowd i didnt speak to nearly anyone if not necessary and i wouldnt join the hype at all.
The tables turned when the Wu Tang came out to perform. I was super excited to see them and after like 4 minutes when they started to perform this song, ”C.R.E.A.M”, I remember how my mental state changed in the blink of an eye. I was standing in front of the crowd leaning over the fence screaming out every lyric of every song including CREAM. Not alot of people in the crowd knew the lyrics to some songs and I remember GZA noticing that I knew it so well and nodded his head towards me for a second.
This moment reminds me of the greatness of the wu tang. I had heard 36 Chambers over and over and knew it by heart by the time I went to see the Wu Tang, and seeing them live made me realize how great the Wu Tang is. It brought out a person in me that I had yet to know. Ya best protect ya neck.

Long story short....Years and years ago ( maybe 13-14) I was travelling trough Europe by coach. The girl next to me said she had worked all night and she fell asleep. We had a short break in Lille, France. I got off, stretched my legs and took some photos of the buildings. Then I turned around and my coach was nowhere! I was left there with no money or phone. All I had my camera and the clothes I was wearing. I tried to get help, but couldn't speak French and no one wanted to understand English. Then I spotted a hotel and I thought "they must speak English ". Luckily the receptionists were very helpful and they made phone calls so I could contact my family. The girl woke up later on and told the driver I was missing, but he said he had to stick to the schedule...anyway....while I was sitting at the reception waiting for calls, I saw these guys walking in and out of the hotel. I even said to myself, they look like they're from a rap video. So I spent the whole day sitting in the same spot close to the reception and they must have had seen me too. The coach company booked me in for a night and I went back to the reception in the early morning. The guys came again and all they saw the same guy, in the same clothes sitting in the same place. Suddenly one of them started walking towards me and hopped next to me. He told me they had noticed me and they were wondering what I was up to. He introduced himself as "Nut". I told him my story and he called the others so we had a chat. That's when I realised it was Method Man and his crew on a European tour. As soon as they heard I was from Hungary they brought me some mobile phones, what they received after their concert in Budapest and asked me to change the menu from Hungarian to English. They gave me some Euros, bought me a card to use internet then later on invited me to go with them. We had a walk in town, people were coming to us, following us and taking photos. We went to a Subway restaurant and they got me a meal there. Then we went back to the hotel. Some fans even came up to me asking me about Method Man etc. It was amazing. Bit later on a black tour coach came end they left for Paris. My biggest regret is that they invited me, but I was a bit worried as I had nothing on me so decided to stay as the coach company arranged a seat on the next coach. We took some photos together then they left. When I showed the pics to some of my Wu-Tang fan friends they couldn't believe what has had happened to me. If you guys read this, thank you for all your help and for the great time. I am never going to forget it and I am very grateful what you did for me! Mainstream rap will never be at these heights ever again
Such a visceral 90s track depicting life for so many young black males
this should have 1 billion views. (And it would still be underrated)
Even if this song has a billion I would call it underrated
Mczis 1 yes
it will have because of me
I was thinking the same thing.
💯
The 90s was the era Hip-Hop was at it's finest in my opinion, closest thing to it these days has to be Joey Bada$$ in terms of beats, flow, lyrics etc.
Yeah but don't compare Joey Bada$$ to best group ever...WU TANG CLAN
I'll do what I want
Next joke...
James O theres a few out there that keep it 90s era like action bronson, troy ave, but hands down the golden era is the best..
then white people got involved, and hip hop got appropriated

Just watched S02E09 of Wu Tang American Saga and it’s about the making of CREAM, still remains one of the greatest hits in Hip Hop… 🙌🏾
What’s left for szn 3? Feel like they speedin they storylines this year
After the success of their first album, there was enough drama within the group cause certain guys had successful solo careers which affected the group before they could reunite 7 years later to make their second album and the death of ODB…
Same
