the Steiner eye box is so nice, compared to a Fortex Razor or Kahles. I just realized that during a match when I was checking a target through my friends Vortex. I'm so happy with Steiner

I had it for a while but the CA jus drove me crazy. I sold it and bought a Minox ZP5

Very clear and comprehensive review. Thanks. I am really torn between this scope and the SB PMII ultra short 3-20x50 for my new AI AT308 - as both priced equally here in the States. I am not sure if I really need the Steiner’s extra 6x magnification for general target shooting in this caliber. Do you have an opinion on the two scopes given my set-up and application? Thanks JK

    Great review! Good information.
I’m on the hunt for a scope at the moment, but it has to not only be a superb scope, but also needs to be tough enough to live on top of a Scar 20
I was leaning towards the Schmidt pmii but the low end tunneling is a concern, so the Steiner seems like a good choice, as I’m not sure about the scopes that have better optical quality than this Steiner abilities to withstand the scars recoil impulse.

zmbisniper the low end 'tunnelling' on the PMII's is basically jealousy hype, it's never stopped me owning 4 of them as scope of choice

Hi Chris. I would like to know what BH bracket height you would recommend for mounting the Steiner M7xi 4-28x56 optics on the Tikka t3 tact a1 rifle. Thank you in advance....

Thank you for your response Chris. Do you have any recommendations for the height of the optics mount. I ordered an Era -Tac QD block montage 20 MOA, BH 20 so the distance between the rail and the lens should be 7mm but I'm not sure if the MOA tilt will snag the lens cap as it's quite wide.?
      Thank you very much.

wingding028 Hawke make a range or adaptors for phones and cameras on their spotting scopes. Only thing is they may well be shut down right now. Have a look on their website

I buy Steiner and other brands like leupolds my opinion is the Steiner is better but will it justify that much of a price increase I would say so the durability is much better than the vortex
