A short DRIVE & SOUND test with the all-new 2016 / 2017 Volkswagen (VW) Passat B8 Alltrack powered by the range-topping 2.0 Bi-Turbo TDI delivering a whopping 240 hp and 500 Nm of torque through 4Motion and a 7-speed DSG (weight: 1.776 kg). Ich glaub du solltest für die ein neues Format einführen. Bei solchen Autos fände ich einen review-mäßigen Stil interessanter weil Sound bei nem Diesel ist so ne Sache. Das war glaub ich nicht die ursprüngliche Idee dieses Formats.
Nur mal als konstruktives Feedback. Find die Videos super. Schon seit langem Abonnent.

Aber ich bitte VW es ist "Volk"Swagen die können doch nicht einfach alle Motoren verkleinern auf 4Zyl. In den Passat muss es einfach den 3.0 V6 Tdi geben wenigsten auf Wunsch Bestellung. Dann währe es ein perfekter wagen für eine Familie !!!
Wieso ist ein 4 Zylinder nicht für eine Familie geeignet? Ein vergleichbarer V6 TDI Audi Quattro ist auch nicht flotter.

I have the Passat Alltrack but with the 2.0 TDI 190hp. 6.6 on highway at 130-140km/h for long trips. Mixed consumption doing some city drive can reach up to 7.4 max. Sorry for my bad english.

what is the price of this vehicle
Don't know of the top of my head but list price is likely around 60k EUR. I think this vehicle was on sale for 45k or similar with a few thousand kilometers on the clock.
this engine consume almost same amount of fuel as 2.0 tfsi 252hp

Yes way!! this 2 liter tdi with 240hp are higher fuel consumptor then 3.0 tdi 272hp from Q7 !! and 2l tfsi consume maybe few dcl fuel more at same regime of driving vs 240hp tdi !! This WV cannot go bellow 7 liter no matter how easy you drove him ,but it can go over 10 in same time and price/reliability are disaster too
let me say on this way!! 3.o liter diesel with 265 hp from BMW 5 and 7 consume less fuel then this TDI in WV passat
It's much more economical. In regular Passat fuel consumption is 7l/100km at 140km/h and between 7,5 (eco driving) and 12,8 (trashing the car) in the city. That's much less than 2.0 TFSI which isn't as economical Audi would want to.
Q7 3.0 TDI needs 11,6l/100km at 140km/h. That's 4,6l more than Passat Bi-TDI.

Für einen 1.800 kg Passat sind 6 Sekunden tatsächlich sehr schnell. Wenn man bedenkt welche Autos vor 20 Jahren mit 6 Sekunden gemessen wurden... Dank Allradantrieb dürften da ein paar Autofahrer beim Ampelstart dumm aus der Wäsche schauen.
Andreas Schmitz das musst du dem Dummkopf nicht erklären. Der ist wahrscheinlich einmal mit Papi AMG gefahren und alles andere ist für ihn armselig und lahmarschig.
Älter als 13 ist er bestimmt auch nicht
Wahnsinn wie unspektakulär 240 PS sein können. Dabei ist er nicht mal langsam.

Das stimmt. Dazu die recht leise Akustik und die räumliche Weite im Innenraum, sowie die Perfektion des Allradantriebes und schon ist das unspektakuläre Feeling perfekt. Ein Golf 7 GTI ist nicht schneller bis 100km/h, aber irgendwie in der Umsetzung "dramatischer". Sprich i.d.R. stotternde Vorderachse, hüpfender Tacho bis 60/70 km/h und durch den Soundaktor mehr Krawall im Innenraum.
Die Beschleunigung des BiTDI ist eigentlich voll okay .... aber wie gesagt: irgendwie unspektakulär;)
Mein Golf 7R ist am Ende auch nur 1 sec schneller auf 100. Aber auch hier kommt mehr "Drama" rüber - dafür sorgt schon die Soundkulisse . Dank dem künstlichen Soundaktor:D

Wenn man sich überlegt wieviel Geld man für so einen Passat ausgeben muss und ich das bei 0:18 sehe, dann hört bei mir jegliches Verständniss auf.

RB26DETT it's not about power... more liter engine has normally also better sound and in my opinion it is healthier for the engine. But this is just my opinion
