    First of all, great video...Subscribed ;)
    And tell us more about ...
    1.The limit to stop tuning. Coz many beginners face the issue where the strings gets broken.
    2. Are all violins the same? [Can them all be tuned to the standards(Western{G, D, A, E} or classical of any shruthi]
    3. What is the best place to place the bridge, while I got my violin it was not even placed.
    4. How to use Rosin on bow, what's the best way to apply?
    5. Whats the correct tension of bow we need to get the correct sound. A detailed explanation on that should be very helpful too.
    6. How high should the strings be on the violin[ As it can vary on position of bridge], side view explanation should be helpful.
    A comment to each of these questions or another video explaining the questions of a beginner would help a lot of people.

    Thank you for correctly, showing us how to properly tune our violin to the Indian tune sound however, I am having issues with the third string, which in American is an A string, but for you it’s a E4 string. I am having issues tuning it to E4. My violin is only going to E 5 and back down to D5, but I can’t figure out the E4 tune.

    *Issue with DATuner*
    I'm a beginner in violin. I tried to tune my violin using the same app (DA Tuner) watching this video. But each time it results over tune and that made damage to my violin. One day I used another app ( gStrings) and I got pretty good result. I fine tuned my violin using gStrings and then I used DATuner to check the tune. Then I found out DATuner is showing negative variation in tune. Means I tuned to E4 in gStrings and DATuner shows D4 (not even d4#). All other strings gave ne the same result. Is this the problem with the app ? Is there anyone here with the same issue ? The device i used is Moto G5. Is this a problem with my phone?

EBEB tuning sounds a lot better than the high E string screaming in GD A E tuning. However can we play two octaves in first position in EBEB tuning? Thanks. Narayan

      There are no such charts available to my knowledge for Indian swaras. But I don't recommend such charts due to a variety of reasons. Going through the tough process of training your ear and muscle memory, under the guidance of an able teacher is best.

      Most of the carnatic violinists I know(like myself) learnt by word of mouth from our teachers, not by any chart or tabs. The tuning in 5ths is also incredibly convenient to play western music, although playing songs in different scales can be a little hard(nothing you cannot adapt to)

    You have chosen E as the basic key for tuning (because of your preferences), but how do I need to change say, for some male singing in 'Sa'' (C3/C2*) or a female singer who prefers say, G (Pa in the C-scale). Mostly we find folks rendering their kritis/kirtanas in this pitch/frequency/key (as in Western terms :) ). Is there any specific reason for you to choose 'Ga' as the tonic note for movement? Chords-wise, it might work, but Carnatic music does not believe in chordal extrapolations (pure/pristine/and somewhat intransigent in the approach). Any details are welcome...Thanks for the wonderful video presentation! God bless you! Jai Ma Saraswati!

    • @giovanniluisbarrantesl9563
      @giovanniluisbarrantesl9563 Před 2 lety

      I am not sure but I think the tune is in perfect fifths. So G# is the tonic and C the Fifth so Sa and Pa should be G# and so on so forth.
