I’ve been wearing the 36mm version for a few months now and I’m still blown away by the machining. Absolutely fantastic everyday piece with design nods to some classics. It’s keeping great time too, about -1/+2 seconds a day. I do wish Tudor would bring out half links but bar that small niggle it’s a wonderful piece at a great price.

I just bought this watch and I am absolutely smitten with it. It’s a classic Rolex Oyster shape but just different enough to be interesting. I love the dial and overall simplicity of it - it’ll look great long after I’m gone!

I’m in the camp of people who was considering to purchase an explorer until I discovered and tried this watch on. It’s everything I never knew I wanted. A luxury tool watch that has the face and feel of a sub, the elegance of an explorer bezel and finish, and can be easily be worn daily and not look like you’re trying to be a “Rolex guy”. It’s a watch that will attract the kind of attention I would welcome, attention from other watch geeks. 😁👍🏼

Together with the stupid gilt dial on all the black models it totally ruins the watches for me. I do like the blue bay on strap and the GMT on strap though. The others are just modern watches trying to look like old watches. It's kinda like buying super overpriced Baltic watches with in house movements imo. If they want to do reissues I'm all up for a Tudor submariner reissue. I'd buy that in a heartbeat with just a nice thing ETA movement that won't cost 600 bucks to service. Like what's the point of buying an everyday toolwatch like a Tudor with an in-house movement? Imo it just doesn't make sense.

I have the BB36 with the blue dial. You can just see the quality, so classy. Also great as a tool watch - super legible on motorcycle rides. The mint green lume is gorgeous against the midnight blue dial. The strap is perfection (other than the lack of easy micro-adjustments).

As a conclusion you can not go wrong both of them.

Got a call yesterday that they can get the BB 58 with nato strap in September...might skip the metal bracelet...not sure I like it and the watch costs an extra 300 EUR with metal... if you buy the stainless steel bracelet separately; however, it’s even more expensive.

Random Rob true. Man tough one, my is set on getting the Rolex submariner, always wanted it but the price tag on it to me it’s just too much, I feel like the Tudor offers the same specs for a fraction of the price. I just can’t justify getting the Rolex.

Emil Tennis Method That’s the reason why I will start my strong horology journey with Tudor.

It's just one Tudor model that has never interested me at all. I would definitely pick a Ranger or North Flag over it.

Rolex Explorer looks dated compare to Tudor Bb 36

It's not silly, it's personal preference! I wasn't a fan at first, but after a while they grew on me and I love them now, they are so unique and give some character to an otherwise very simple dial. The BB 36 is my grial.

That ugly gap on the crown is irritating. Surprised you didn't mention. Just stick with Seiko.

Oh also, it’s not a gap, it’s the tube and its solid as all can be.

When it see this watch and handle it you will see Rolex Explorer 2010. The shine is stunning and women ogle it, yet it's a Luxury Sports watch. It keeps great time, mine have been in step with World Clock since I've set it.

With an ETA Movement I can't imagine why this watch costs 3grand. I understand the upcharge for the build quality but what here is worth 3k in comparison to other top grade ETA watches?

Random Rob 🤣 beat way of saying you’re paying for Tudor brand recognition. I also have to believe they are regulating this era movements. In house or not, that accuracy is outstanding!

Well i've read that they modify/upgrade and regulate the movement in 5 positions. Only downside for me is the relative short power reserve. Mine is running well within cosc specs.
