He is 3 inches/9cm taller than his dad. He should definitely be bigger. Probably around 140kg with a little more muscle and trimming fat
@dxfifa how did you work that out? The eye test would say he has too much body fat. He is 18 and us not fully grown yet, and should be a trim athlete.

Well he ate the nz u20 side for breakfast. Good athleticism for a big man and quite skilful too, isnt just a battering ram but looks for the offload. Good leg drive after contact too. Not sure how agile he is in defense, but i hope he stays in french rugby as they will give him better support for managing his weight.

This guy was in the same high school as me. One time I was seating next to him and his parents. I am 8 years older than him and still I was so impressed by his physique.

It's too early to say how this kid will turn out. Give him time. Maybe he loses his weight and gains explosiveness, then he will be a very good player. Maybe he does all that and also develops his skills in the tight areas, then he will be very valuable. Maybe he does all that as well as gains tactical knowledge, resilient mentality and hunger and discipline to be the best, then he will be elite. Until then, let's just appreciate some amazing highlights.

Le seul moyen d'arrêter ce type de joueur c'est de leur faire un lest comme le fait Pfaf (très petit mais il s'accroche dans ton flanc et te déstabilise) ou de les prendre par les deux pieds, clean. Plus d'appuis, il n'a d'autre choix que tomber. Pas facile. Il faut le faire vite, avec courage et précision, sans lâcher.
He needs to get down to 130kg to play elite. He is big and powerful but he isn't breaking tackles as he is lacking 2 seconds of pace and dynamism to constantly change point of contact - guys much smaller than him can hang on and eventually bring him down.
Looking forward to see how he progresses, could be world class

Naaaah. Rugby skills are different from american football most of the time. He probably has spent years working his stamina at the detriment of more usefull skills in the NFL. Also, I'm not exactly sure how someone who has not grown watching and playing american football could get and obtain the semi-inate capacities of reading the terrain and understanding the tactics that is requirred at this level.
That said, I know barely nothing about american football, it's me making suppositions.

Son poids et sa force ne font pas tout, il manque encore de vitesse et de souffle. C'est une pression énorme là : il devrait affronter les blacks, les sud Af notamment. Non c'est trop tôt, enfin c'est mon avis... D'autant que nous avons de valeureux et talentueux joueurs plus expérimentés et aguerris , et que nous n'avons pas besoin de lui en fait...

Why wouldn't he reach a decent age?. He's got the Tuilagi DNA so I can see him getting better and better the older he gets. It'll be interesting to see his progression provided he doesn't get any major injuries and still have the motivation/desire to play rugby, the possibility are scary😅

@@michaeltrumper who can't run for 80 minutes like him. You have a huge truck with a pocket size fuel tank. The engine roars whé you drive it but you can only do a couple of miles at a time. Tuilagi is huge but his endurance is very good. Plus he has good hands and vision. The real package here.
