Genki balls are not just for the Ala Wai, according to members involved in the project to make Oahu's most infamous canal swimmable by 2026.

Anybody see the correlation for the two sites? Right next to golf courses. Over nitrified run-off creating anareobic bacterial blooms, causing hydrogen sulfide release which is the stinky stuff we smell.

Nitrate is easy to biologically strip and process on site., just plain lazy not to do it. Farm, golf course or anything else.

I remember in 1968 walking from Cleghorn to Ali Wai Canal sidewalk to McCully to get groceries. If we spent $25.00 they gave us a ride home. I was working in Waikiki and going to UH. Those were the good old days❗ I would look at the canal's dirty water and wondered if it could ever get clean 🌅 So proud of all of you that helped the Ala Wai and are helping. Mahalo nui loa💪 🤙
