Our at-home "Fingerprint Kit" includes one two-inch ink pad and four FD-258 fingerprint cards.
Simply follow the instructions included with your packet to complete your fingerprints, then mail us your completed fingerprint card using the return shipping envelope provided. You only need to send us one completed fingerprint card back, the other cards are provided in case you make a mistake.
Our digital processing team will scan your fingerprint card and keep it on file for future purchases.

Do I still need to do the finger prints card when they have them on file with a CCL/CPL & ATF in the computer. Sorry, when I applied they did it on the updated computer system. If you needed the print card for your records that's ok to.

I am surprised if the ATF accepts these prints as presented, unless they are not as picky as for criminal prints. I would add the following, so you can be sure the prints are accepted - complete the data fields BEFORE doing the prints so that you don't smudge the prints while printing on the card. I would also recommend getting a print which includes down to the first digit (another words going beyond the first line below the top of the joint). Finally, with the index finger and thumb of your opposite hand, assist each print by rolling towards/away from you - this keeps each print more stable.
