It's amazing how much a city can change in 30 years from 'La Belle Epoque' to 'The Roaring 20s'.

Change so much yet so much remains the same.

This is where a fun, light movie got very deep.

Fun fact: the era that Europeans call la Belle Époque is known is North America as the Gilded Age.

I agree the Renaissance era was the best, they were inspired by classical antiquity art, but they were improving it with more modern methods, they wouldn't have thought a previous era was better, therefore that is where the chain would end.

What about the Greeks, with all that understanding of the arquitecture, the philosophy, the olimpiads...

The Renaissance is literally ALL about rekindling some of the creativity of Rome, who in turn mostly copied their culture from the Greeks. I'm sure the Greeks believed that some other antiquity was the best and that things were going downhill too. You've missed the point and demonstrated a lack of emotional intelligence and art history knowledge.

She can't stay in la Belle Époque; when she leaves to get something, she'll turn back around and find a twenties laundromat in its place.

Did Degas, Gaugin and Lautrec really all know each other?
