I have a 2001 996 with bore scoring. I'm looking at all options but the k swap so far is number one choice. Can't wait for your kit to be ready. I'm in the GTA area
intently following your developments on these builds. As a 996 owner, engine failure is always in the back of my mind. I miss my s2000 and this is an option I am heavily considering right next to a hartech rebuild.
Can't wait to follow this series. I've been on the fence about buying a 996 as a project car. After seeing the Larry Chen video I was wondering if you were going to do a 996. This may push me to do this build. Do you have a full wiring harness to retain the gauges and A/C?
1st, great content and good luck with the kit. Quick question: are both the front and rear suspension main hardware (like what the control arms and things like that connect to) the same on 996.1 thru 997.2? I'm looking to do some development for a project as well mainly for the 997 platform, but I'm not having much luck acquiring a good chassis for the money I'm looking to spend. I've been looking at 2005 - 2010 (997.1 & 2) platform, but if I knew I could go as early as 2000 that would be great. Thanks
This 996 has seen some serious shit considering its from Hawaii. 😆 EDIT: It looks much better with the wheels, ride height and aftermarket (Honda) mods. 👌
Keep the beat up look!!! Do not change a thing
Junk the dash, get a fiber glass one, leave the haggard paint engine, swap it and go out and troll people with it, with awd it's going to hook!
Lookin forward to seeing more of this 996!
Damn you've reignited my 996 desires
Whats up from Ottawa! Keep it up!

Check street bandido green porsche and the swap kit they used recently. If I was in the USA wouldn't think twice about it

I just went for a rip in my 996.1 C2. She's running like a champ

After doing the Acetone clean and uv protect the lights and it should last for a while...
Can you detail the brackets you had to make for the recaro to fit? These are such a cool upgrade that may be easier than all the other Porsche stuff
Cool car!! Color is awesome!! Wheels and ride height are dialed. Small aero bits will be a nice touch!!!
I am eager to watch your next steps. Even more eager is the Cayman Frankenstein.
Thank you Nick for the upgraded 996/997 no IMS 💩 no porsche tax 🤑👍👍👍
Hell yeah! This is my future dream
love the wheel and the new seats. just some honda centercaps lol
I can’t wait to follow your step by step instructions for my project!!
vinyl wrap the pancake portion of headlights body color to make it match round 997 headlights makes it look way newer
Ratarossa style please!
Wrap it…it would be good to see the actual work…interested in the K swap
just please get center caps.
I would leave the paint as is. If anything, take a grinder to parts of it and then clear coat it
Alright guys let him know
This is what we have been waiting for!
fucking sick

Can you expand on the headlight restoration system? How is it called? Where to buy it?
Repaint the car the same color and throw some gold bbslm. Look at Vin's Ferrari
How much will you sell this car when you finish?
Don’t like the steering wheel
Do you still do e-tunes for hondata flashpro?
