Love the video it’s one of the only videos I’ve seen so far showcasing a frost build post rework. Frost was my main way back in the early days but now that I’m back and with the rework I’m having difficulty trying to flesh out a good build for him now. I’m still in early to mid game content trying to get the mods needed to make him strong. Any recommendations for early mid game setups?
Been wanting to dust off frost here lately cuz of this texas heat, I'm definitely going to try this build. I haven't touched frost in literal years, just because he was so janky. But I'm kinda hyped to run him. I did score a nice sibear riven, and am waiting for sibear incarnon to rotate. I think aesthetically it would pair with him. Definitely gonna have to get the furus incarnon too! Great video man, thank you!
Hey! Nice to see you showing essentially my build. I've found you are mostly fine with equilibrium and synth deconstruct for energy. Makes it much less demanding on mod space too. No flow, no energize needed. I've also tanked duration more, because I normally cast pretty often so I don't need enemies to stay frozen. They usually die fast too. The new cold arcane that gives both strength and duration for cold will help with that. Really wish they removed duration and just went with status duration for him though. Also, I pair it with airburst, because grouping and blasting fully stripped enemies is just great. Works especially well now that you can ragdoll frozen enemies. Before, you had to burst, then freeze. Now you can do whatever.
@@ShadowKing-vs9cx yeah, I don't really know, but I think he gets extra duration on his weapons based procs, but the procs from his abilities are still duration based. It's a bit meh, as it would have been great to not mod for duration at all, or at least if his passive also applied to the procs from his abilities. But I guess they want you to mod for duration for that. I'd rather cast avalanche 3 times at minimum cost than have my targets be frozen forever though, so fleeting expertise it is for me.

Slap a single tauforged green shard on saryn for the +3 corrosive stacks and Saryn alone strips 98% of armor from pretty much all enemies within 4 rooms(with high enough range) add Frosts CC and armor strip and youre laughing as nothing can k*ll you and everything d*es in seconds without you having to really lift a finger.
Biting Frost is so good now thanks to the Cold changes. Back then I never used it despite using Frost a lot since you only really Freeze with his 4th ability but now with multiple sources of Freeze it's a lot better now.
Another build I like to go with Frost is a sentinel of your choice (Nautilus for me) equipped with duplex bond as you are a caster frame, using the verglas with a cold mod, high fire rate, and shivering contagion at minimum. The clones goes around chasing and firing with their verglas, freezing enemies fast. Waiting for when they introduce blast mods like they did with radiation in whispers with this iteration of blast status.
Try using breach surge instead of nourish. If you hit a frozen enemy that has breach surge on it with big damage, the sparks will seek out other frozen targets and chain reaction everything in the room. Awesome build!

With the new blast damage you have the opportunity to go all in using freeze force and a beam weapon, the armor strip makes biting frost kinda overkill
I am usually a frost main and my recommendation would be replace molt augmented and the blue energy shards with the new arcane that increases with armor then replace the overextend mod with just about anything else. I hate too much range on frost because it reduces Kills per minute by freezing enemies 3 rooms over and making me need to run to them. My max range is 150% any more than that will impede you.
I think his 2nd ability needs a decent sized buff. Ice wave should have better pathing, so it can go upstairs and small inclines better. And have it's cone increase from 45 to 50 degrees. I will run Arcane Ice Stormcfor the extra duration and Strenght, and i think that using Arcane Primary Charger would take my glaxion to a higher level of damage than using Primary Merciless because Primary Frostbite gives me better things
According to the kengineer, frostbite is rarely worth it over merciless. And having only cold on your glaxion means you heavily rely on your primer for galvanized aptitude.
@@arthanor9631 yes, but it does procc a lot, because everyone is getting pulled in to me and they are primed instantly when they do. On the other hand, i already thought about it and yes, it's better to use Blast+Magnetic+Nourish, since I'm frost and cold is primed by everything i do How is crit damage and multishot worse than Merciless considering i will use Primary Charger? It's just 20% less damage and i don't need any other arcane on my frost so it works for me, kinda, i guess, i couldn't try the build just yet (i lack the Primary charger and tenet glaxion)
@@liomurasaki It depends on what you want to do. I'd never consider primary charger because farming arbitration isn't for me. Either ways, I'd rather the new ice storm arcane (duration and strength on freezing enemies) and something else. Avenger is never bad, although on frost it's less needed if you use the crit buff augment. Maybe the other ability strength one, or energize or the "next 3 abilities are free". Frostbite is just.. not doing much compared to what you already have. Even with primary charger, merciless is almost doubling your damage. Whereas assuming you use galvanized chamber, the 90 multishot is 27% and the crit damage is also about 30% (considering vital sense), less if you are using the frost crit augment that gives 200%. They are at best comparable, when using primary charger. But you could do better and save yourself the hassle of farming it.
6:50 afaik that’s not quite correct. The number of chains stays the same regardless of punch through; however the enemies hit by punch through will not count as chains, allowing the beam to chain to other enemies instead!
@@Unified-Codex I tested it now, and it does; which is strange, because it definitely didn‘t use to! I tested it myself when the Kuva Nukor came out, and I didn‘t get more chains then; but I do now.
I'm running Rakata dagger with melee influence on pretty much every Warframe, since it makes you immortal. That + Frost's armor strip is a pretty cool combo for just turning your brain off and holding the melee button down through the whole mission xD
why im getting like 100 over guard points every time i use avalanche? i see you get like 1000~ i built slightly different because i don't have access to archon shards neither the arcanes u have, i have around 130 strength. it is the problem? or what?

Archon flow IS useless. Even if you accidentally kill something with cold damage in SP, it still has a 10s cool down. But its the same energy as P.flow so its just whatever you have. Nourish/energize/nexus is waaaay overkill on the energy. Equilibrium + synth deconstruct pet is all the energy frost needs if you want more milage out of your arcane slots. You can also slot in augur reach over stretch for that extra just incase layer of survival of building up shields/overshields while also building overguard. Frost is definitely better now, but his 1 and 2 are still very meh. 2 especially, is not worth using. 1 will force a freeze on a direct hit, aoe (which is much better now) is only 6 cold procs. BUT if you want to freeze stuff and take advantage of his passive augment. You're already using 4. Vs armorless enemies, yes 1 is great. Everything else, its 4 and why do you have 1 or 2.
I don't think you need that much range for a kuva tileset mission. In the entrati labs, yeah, but lets be honest, barely anybody is doing kuva survival these days.
Frost rework- freeze is hopeless now that snow globe can be shoot through so why not just replace it with ice wave and give him a new second ability that help with the other.. and passive is hopeless as well unless you're playing alone, once frozen frost gets armour I love that but if in a team and team mates kill everything you lose alll that armour
@@Unified-Codex oh yeah I know enemies can't shoot through it,just forgot to mention that thats all.. so why does he need freeze because let's face it we only use freeze to pop snow globe
Great video, I like most of these changes but not the new passive ability. It is not useful now. It was nice to frozen enemies even without energy when they come close and hit you with old passive.

Hmmm, i notice that the amount of energy u get is to much after the glaxion augment, what mods should i remove on frost?
Energy Nexus
Frost was my most played, but not far enough to be switching abilities out and stuff.. can i still play frost far in the campaign without swapping 2 for nourish? *Heard his 2 is still kinda useless sadge
He's good regardless! Nourish is just nice for some extra damage and energy
@@Unified-Codex Definitely gonna be going back to my boy then :D Ty
Why are people not using "volatile quick return" like we used to on the glaive?
I just throw condemn to 1 or 2. It make shield and bind enemy abit
i like your cat name
Where’s the Dagath build🤧
I wonder, what if i only do Tri Galvanized, Primed cold, cold progenitor, and crit mods + Aigment? Considering i have a primer nautilus
On the other hand, i already thought about it and yes, it's better to use Blast+Magnetic+Nourish, since I'm frost and cold is primed by everything i do
How is crit damage and multishot worse than Merciless considering i will use Primary Charger?
It definitely creates more chains
@@Unified-Codex I tested it now, and it does; which is strange, because it definitely didn‘t use to! I tested it myself when the Kuva Nukor came out, and I didn‘t get more chains then; but I do now.
What do you think of Arcane Ice Storm on Frost?
I've just popped this arcane in Frosty Boy.
Great idea
arcane ice storm should be on this build
True! It’s a nice pick for him
I'm running Rakata dagger with melee influence on pretty much every Warframe, since it makes you immortal. That + Frost's armor strip is a pretty cool combo for just turning your brain off and holding the melee button down through the whole mission xD
Amazing idea!
2k subs
why im getting like 100 over guard points every time i use avalanche? i see you get like 1000~ i built slightly different because i don't have access to archon shards neither the arcanes u have, i have around 130 strength. it is the problem? or what?
The augment does scale with strength as well as amount of enemies hit, so with less str or less enemy density you will get less
Good thing i kept frost prime time to remove his 🕸️🕸️ 🕷️
Web spider?
Is it true that you can’t stack snowglobe anymore?
No, you can still stack them
i can shared a better setup with frost and tenet glaxion if you want :D already did the damage cap using frost
I wish I got that skin man
Very glad I did, and the Mag one as well
@@Unified-Codex Yep i feel bad for the people that missed out on the frost skin bc imo its atleast top 3 best skin out there.
@@monkeman8604 ...not everyone can drop a 100+$ on a skin. Or at least that was the price when it was introduced. Dunno if it got changed later, I only remember how upset people were about such a shitty cash-grab move.
@@punthebun they changed that u got 5k plat aswell. U could also get it for like 25$ even though its a tad bit risky. My friend bought a code from some1 and he got the whole deal for only 25$ and i bought mine for full price, I 100% regret not doing the same as him since he have not been banned or anything.
@@monkeman8604 ...so instead of lowering the price, they just added some plat to the bundle. Yeesh. Yeah, never gonna buy that. I just hope the Ember heirloom skin will have an actually realistic price. (Wishful thinking, I know. But one can hope)
Frost should be immune to cold procs
Thanks for the input!
I don't think you need that much range for a kuva tileset mission. In the entrati labs, yeah, but lets be honest, barely anybody is doing kuva survival these days.
I did mention thoughts on reducing range in the video, so I definitely agree!
Only allies can shoot through it, not enemies - it was purely a buff!
@@Unified-Codex oh yeah I know enemies can't shoot through it,just forgot to mention that thats all.. so why does he need freeze because let's face it we only use freeze to pop snow globe
Dude I am loving the videos but you must take a break like damn, eat and sleep at least
I will sleep at 50k subs!
which skin is that?
Heirloom
Snow globe is a huge plus. I hate a globe horny frost..
your orbiter needs some more drip my brother, the veterans wont respect u like that
Perhaps
not using arcane icestorm over energize has to be a sin.
You might be right!
Great video, I like most of these changes but not the new passive ability. It is not useful now. It was nice to frozen enemies even without energy when they come close and hit you with old passive.
Oh word, they made him C tier instead of D, sick
More like A- or B+
@@Unified-Codex imagine
Why are your builds always mid like as if your master rank 24
the moment you said nourish i clicked off the video.
Thanks for telling us
What’s the problem with it? Please someone explain it e.e
Kinda sick of NourishFrame, tbh. Personally having fun with cold Vex Armor, coupled with Arcange Guardian and Umbral "trio". Gloom might be way better though.
Gloom is always a good defensive choice!
