Hi Sujoy, I am having the idling revving at around 800 which used be good at 900. now it goes up and down. It is just after the timing chain pulleys got changed. Will it be resolved by cleaning throttle body or any other issue? Please guide me on it
The idle reducing to 800 isn't a concern, but the Up and Down is a concern. Have you inspected the battery? A weak battery can cause RPM fluctuations. Have the spark plugs been checked or cleaned anytime? An unclean air filter, or a dirty throttle body could also cause fluctuations. These are a few wild guesses to be honest. hello sujoy, i am feeling loss of power in polo petrol 1.2 l, after i crossed through water filled road of around 200 m. the engine was never stopped while crossing the watery patch. what could be the reason of loss in power
Do you sense any abnormalities in the engine operation? Like white smoke, excess engine noise etc? Even if engine doesn't stall, water can enter from the exhaust and get inwards into the engine causing varying degrees of damage. When was the most recent servicing done? Any check engine lights?
@@SujoyShivde engine noise is not high but some noise is changed. engine is overheating. servicing is done 40 days back . car pickup is reduced within one day. is this could be due to airfilter wet or water trapped somewhere or insufficient air flow
If engine is overheating, check your coolant tank for deposits of discoloured coolant. If you have the time, try opening the airfilter and check the Air Filter for moisture or wetness.
My mechanic is using 5w 30 from last three years in my Polo petrol 1.2L and my car is performing normally, can i use 5w 40 now as per VW 502 standards?
5W-30 and 5W-40 are not too different in viscosities, and so there shouldn't be a world of difference. Manufacturers prescribe different engine oils depending on the country, seasons, running pattern etc. Yes, you may use 5W-40 next time.
Hi, you can buy Genuine Branded Parts from sites like Boodmo. Sometimes service centres can also give parts over the counter but that is rare at best and such courtesy is only for Coolant, 1L Engine Oil and AC Filter at best.
Yes, theoretically possible since the oil filter is upward racing, but definitely not a good idea. Always a good idea to change both the oil and oil filter and use fresh oil
@@SujoyShivde Oil and filter just changed but the engine make a noise like "trrrr" at first start and i suspect the oil filter may be the reason that's why i want to change it with the original one
I'll try and make one. Do change it. I don't believe in a Lifetime Fluid concept. You can check YourDiyNeeds channel on CZcams. He has a Polo Manual and has demonstrated the Gearbox Oil Change
5W-40 was the recommendation of oil grade for VW 1.2L MPI as per VW Service Centre for the vehicle I serviced. Should be similar for the Ameo Petrol. It should meet VW 502 spec. I believe Castrol Edge 5W-40 meets it. Shell Helix HX8 5W-30 also meets it
You can get most genuine spares from Boodmo. I've been using Boodmo for sourcing genuine VW spares for almost 2-3 years now. @@SujoyShivde noo broo i just painted alloys and break caliper paint after that wen i break it vibrates😭
Calliper or disc needs to be checked. Maybe pads have uneven wear.
Hello sir i have Ameo 1.0 petrol 2019 make can i use 10w 30 i lives in punjab
No, please don't use 10W-30. The manufacturer recommends 5W-40 for Polo Vento Ameo 1.0 MPI, 1.0 TSI engines.
Hey bro! I have a 2014 model 1.2l petrol polo.. is this the same car which you are servicing?
It's a 1.2L MPI, with a Manual Gearbox
@@SujoyShivde yup, that's same.
So I have a doubt, actually I am getting an oil filter with product code ending with C..
Could you please describe the difference between A, D, C?? And is this C vala oil filter good for my car?
@@jaisachdeva7245 Part numbers often undergo revisions due to change in material, change in component design, manufacturing plant etc. A B C and D typically refer to revisions made to a part. Some are super sessions due to discontinuing of previous letters, but both might be available in retail channel depending on stock availability
@@SujoyShivdeso is this revision C good to go?
@@SujoyShivde also I have 2 more things to ask
1. Fuel filter- when should I replace it.
2. How can I remove the service indication after servicing?
hello sujoy, i am feeling loss of power in polo petrol 1.2 l, after i crossed through water filled road of around 200 m. the engine was never stopped while crossing the watery patch. what could be the reason of loss in power
Do you sense any abnormalities in the engine operation? Like white smoke, excess engine noise etc? Even if engine doesn't stall, water can enter from the exhaust and get inwards into the engine causing varying degrees of damage. When was the most recent servicing done? Any check engine lights?
@@SujoyShivde engine noise is not high but some noise is changed. engine is overheating. servicing is done 40 days back . car pickup is reduced within one day. is this could be due to airfilter wet or water trapped somewhere or insufficient air flow
no white smoke observed and engine vibration increased
If engine is overheating, check your coolant tank for deposits of discoloured coolant. If you have the time, try opening the airfilter and check the Air Filter for moisture or wetness.
Bro can you pls tell me VW polo 1.2 petrol highline model of 2010 oil capacity??
Should roughly be about 2.8-3L. Check your owners manual to be doubly sure and while filling fill carefully and top up more if required.
@@SujoyShivde ok thanks bro
Polo 1.2 mpi top speed ?
Not sure, probably 140km/h or so, perhaps with quite some struggle
Polo 2012 model wheel oil kaise check kare kha hota hai ye bro

@@SujoyShivde sorry gear oil
How do in i give my car took service at your home garage?
Working on it ☺️
Hii bro I'm from tamil Nadu where did u got those genuine parts
Boodmo
Hi bro, where can i order parts for polo?
Retrofit shops on Instagram sell these
My mechanic is using 5w 30 from last three years in my Polo petrol 1.2L and my car is performing normally, can i use 5w 40 now as per VW 502 standards?
5W-30 and 5W-40 are not too different in viscosities, and so there shouldn't be a world of difference. Manufacturers prescribe different engine oils depending on the country, seasons, running pattern etc. Yes, you may use 5W-40 next time.
@@SujoyShivdeThank you Boss 🫶🏽❤️
Subscribed your channel now 😂
Wat is the millage give this car...
Should be about 11+ in city traffic and 14-15 on highways.
What is the oil capacity of polo petrol 1.2mpi 2017 model
About 2.8L oil with a filter change
Ok
@@SujoyShivde and when is new generation polo is to launched in india
Where are you based
Pune
how did you got genuine parts out of the service centre? @sujoy shivde
Hi, you can buy Genuine Branded Parts from sites like Boodmo. Sometimes service centres can also give parts over the counter but that is rare at best and such courtesy is only for Coolant, 1L Engine Oil and AC Filter at best.
For this service, we procured genuine oil filter and engine air filter. AC Filter was expensive and so we chose aftermarket part for that
Sujoy Shivde Thankyou for Letting me know this insights I never knew sites like this exist to provide Genuine parts
Hi ,it is possibile change just the oil filter without draining the oil?
Yes, theoretically possible since the oil filter is upward racing, but definitely not a good idea. Always a good idea to change both the oil and oil filter and use fresh oil
@@SujoyShivde Oil and filter just changed but the engine make a noise like "trrrr" at first start and i suspect the oil filter may be the reason that's why i want to change it with the original one
How many km after need to change oil
Depends on what oil you use. Most modern synthetic oils are good for atleast 10k Kms with mixed running.
How to change transmission oil for polo 1.2L petrol
Fairly easy sequence. Manual Gearbox you mean?
@@SujoyShivde yeah. Vw says life time. My car completed 10 years . So thought of changing it. If any video from you would be very useful. Thanks 🙏🏻
I'll try and make one. Do change it. I don't believe in a Lifetime Fluid concept. You can check YourDiyNeeds channel on CZcams. He has a Polo Manual and has demonstrated the Gearbox Oil Change
You forgot to clean the break pads
The video is specific for an engine service. Brake pads were cleaned and guide pins were lubricated off camera.
Bro my vw polo 1.2 petrol EPC problem how to solve
Hi, what issue are you exactly facing
In Odometer it show EPC continusly after tat I can't speed above 110km
Sometimes I can't acceleration 40km above
My model 2015 1.2 petrol.past 5yrs I can't reach top speed above 120
In showroom they told change throttle body but cost 40k
From where do I buy the oil drain copper gasket ?
You can buy it from local parts store or from Boodmo. It's listed on the parts catalogue.
@@SujoyShivde Thank you. Can I use Castrol 5w30 for VW Ameo 1.2 petrol. What is recommended engine oil?
5W-40 was the recommendation of oil grade for VW 1.2L MPI as per VW Service Centre for the vehicle I serviced. Should be similar for the Ameo Petrol. It should meet VW 502 spec. I believe Castrol Edge 5W-40 meets it. Shell Helix HX8 5W-30 also meets it
@@SujoyShivde Should I buy 3/3.5L engine oil?
@@SujoyShivde I've driven 32K Kms, please let me know what all needs to be checked during this service interval.
Same as ameo... 1.2l engine
Yes. Same engine.
And where to get the original parts
You can get most genuine spares from Boodmo. I've been using Boodmo for sourcing genuine VW spares for almost 2-3 years now. In some cases, depending on your location, Volkswagen might even be doing counter sales. In case you can't find VW Genuine Parts, you can go with OEM and good Quality Aftermarket Components by reputed international manufacturers
