I just read Yours Truly and then Just for the Summer…and let me tell you: I really liked Yours Truly much more than Just for the Summer. namely because I related with Emma so much (toxic mom situation) and it had me so “affected” that it was the topic of discussion during my therapy session this morning. I hadn’t realized how much my childhood and my mother’s interactions with me affected me so much. I loved Yours Truly much better BECAUSE I was both Briana AND Jacob….I have bad anxiety but I also felt like Briana in her abandonment and feeling like she didn’t deserve love. Let me tell you: Abby Jimenez definitely knows how to take you on a ride in her books and make you feel things. Never laughed as hard as I did with Yours Truly. Great recommendations.
