Jupe + Spring: *Full on villager fight*

That is the great thing about AOE2, in most 'modern' games, it would be explicitly patched to stop this sort of behaviour.

So many times during villager engagements where Jupe's villagers are fighting and Springs are just walking away. Superior villager control made a big difference here too.
Can't blame the guy, it is really difficult to fight with vils and macro behind it, Jupe does it all the same and I doubt Sspring does, so ofc Jupe would outperform him, that's what his strat is all about. I would love to see Jupe vs Noboru.

Agreed. That was a nice comeback. Had spring used the time window he had to send just a few scouts to Jupe's original base, Jupe would not have had enough stone to win.

My choice for "best games ever" aren't selected because of the memes. Not stompfests, or a "close match", or where someone goes for a wierd stratergy.

Big mistake from Spring, not building a single archery range.
Biggest mistake was that he didn't wall in his towers. Yes, archers would have been great but let's be honest, two walled in towers in great positions would have broken jupe's back. Then he could have calmly transitioned to archers and murdered jupe's eco at home.

@@nessesaryschoolthing Jupe played better than Spring and outmicroed him, spring made multiple mistakes. Jule took advantage of that and won. It's not a bad game just because it isn't a standard macro game.

I think what made difference was that jupe had constant flow of resources from villagers he left behind spring constantly moved them about sometimes not gathering anything.

@@kazual9206 But u hv to build archery range first while the vills are battering the gates. Those vills are on offensive, they are meant to go out to tower Spring once they broke the blockade. I agree with Ancient, towers would do the trick for Spring

b) Another way is to be continually be asking yourself: _What should I be building next?_
It's one of the reason players memorize a "build order" and why TC drops which look so harmless can be so destructive -- it puts the opponent on "defense" as they can now no longer just blindly follow a build order.
That's why AoE2 is one the greatest RTS games. **Dynamic tactics and strategy.**

You cannot make multiple TCs at a time until Castle Age. But if you lose your only TC in Dark/Feudal, you are allowed to build a new one
