- Went bream fishing at Lake Grampus outside of Montrose, Arkansas with my buddy Shaquil. Haven't been to this lake since I was a kid fishing with my dad. We found a few big bluegill.

Why the cane pole style poles.??..? One would think light little spinning reel would be Hella fun in them trees. Playing them big gills?
It just depends on the lake and how the fish are biting. We mostly use those jig poles for panfish when in a boat but we also take light action reel combos along too. If you use a reel when we are catching them fast with those poles... We might pull in 3 to your every 1 fish lol
@@SOUTHERNLIFETIMES I see it's a hassle free no tangle kinda setup. Never done anything like that up here in the north. I think I'm gonna have to get down south some time and give it a try.
@@nicktoofar3514 great fishing in southeast Arkansas. The pole I'm using is called a Berkeley C Series Crappie Pro 10ft.
ACC Crappie Stik 10ft will be my next purchase.

my question to you is why do you have so much line loose on your jig pole, one guy seem like he had a hard time getting the fish to the boat. i love watching your show!!!! your partner do to much hollering lol Do more shows
Lol. Thank you for watching! I appreciate it. Sometimes you will see me adjusting the length of the line. I prefer a longer line for more reach. Especially when I'm using a bobber
ok i have a hard times using that much lines trees are not my friends when I'm using my jig pole, i used my reels more then that if I'm n the boat those bowfins you catching we be catching them as big and long as your legs we throw them back hopefully new shows in 2024 @@SOUTHERNLIFETIMES
@rebeccabaker3953 Bowfin are treated as a delicacy in my area. Especially amongst the black population. This year I plan to do a bowfin Catch, Clean, and Cook video.

I have no idea. That lake is outside of the area I normally fish. That was my first time going there since going with my dad as a kid

The only thing wrong is I am not able to participate in person. You all make me want to go fishing. Just prior to you coming on, I had watched another video of this guy catching big bluegills, he should have stayed home, you guys put him to shame.

Thanks! We call those jig poles. Mine is called a Berkeley C Series Crappie Pro with an Uncle Buck's crappie reel.
I have 3 other jig poles made by Uncle Buck's. All mine are 10ft & I mostly buy online. My next purchase will be an ACC Crappie Stik.
