I film and review this beautiful 2014 BMW 535d Diesel, my 2006 BMW E65 (750i) was at the dealership in Southern California for a Recall on the passenger seat mat sensor, I'll have a separate video for that recall. I got super lucky and brought my 7 series in a couple of days before July 4th, so the dealership was busy with other fixes and I had this car for 5 whole days. 40% better fuel economy than 528i (23mpg vs 32mpg) and 0.1sec 0-60mph faster than 535i. It's a masterpiece and Americans don't recognize it.

Why in the US you got cheated 535d which in reality is being sold in Europe as 530d I have no idea. 535d got 2 exhaust pipes on opposite sites with 313HP and 630Nm torque (2xturbocharger), while 530d got 258HP and 560Nm torque.
The 535d only has a single turbocharger, not two
Maybe in US. In EU it's got 2 chargers. US 535d = EU 530d
Yeah, I meant the US model, the 530d in EU has 258 hp and 560nm of torque and the 535d has 313hp and 630nm of torque, and then we have the awesome M550d with three turbos and 381 hp with 740 nm!! I love BMWs

@@andylie7699 In europe the 535d has 2 turbos, the 530d is the one that has a single turbo.
Please know more about the car before you review it... I know more about this car than you do...
1) The gear leaver can be shifted between D(rive) and S(port) without pushing the knob.
2) The paddle shifters can be used whether you are in D or S (however, in D it will go back to shifting automatically again after a short while)
3) In S it will shift automatically until you use the paddles. When you do it will go into M-mode (manual)
4) In M-mode it will upshift at redline and downshift when RPM is low enough.
5) The seat belt warning will mute after a minute or two.

So - a couple of points - the sunshade on the sunroof is power operated instead of manual - consider that an upgrade; the blue filler next to the fuel cap is the UREA fluid - it's a fluid you have to fill every 10 or 15k so it continues to burn clean; the lock button next to the power trunk button will close the trunk AND lock the car; the M Sills and sports steering wheel are part of the M Sport package; the front seat headrest is power operated; this is why you couldn't adjust manually. The button bellow the start button is to disable auto stop on the engine. It only last for the ignition cycle unfortunately.

Diesels don't get any better than this, V8 torque and 4 cylinder mileage. The 328d gets like 50 mpg highway that's awesome.

I love this car. I had a 2011 528i and driving it up and down from LA to San Diego was tough on gas lol even tho it was a 4 cylinder. With my 2015 535d I don’t even need to fill up my tank at the end of the day. 50 MPG on the freeway, 30 city.
The BMW dealer did not tell him about the stop/start feature that turns engine off when you come to a complete stop and starts up again when you push the gas pedal. They also forgot to tell him the button to turn the feature off is located under the start button.

@ Eric Kim I would love to buy the car it's beautiful but a little bit out of my price range, even though it would be 100% tax write off for my business the over-head would be pretty high. It's not carbon fiber in your interior. It's actually aluminium in a hexagonal shape. Good video though :) VERY nice car, love the F10.
