Honestly…. The 883 is the coolest looking bike imo. I just wish it had a bigger engine and a 6 speed transmission
You can upgrade to 1200, HD makes a conversion kit
Put the 883 tank on the 48 problem solved
Yes 😂
And paint it black 😊
Fr😂😂
Thanks fro this video, I can now tell the difference between the 2. I prefer the 48. Hope to get it soon.
Thanks bud was wondering what the difference was
As somebody who's completely new to the whole HD line-up, this video was very helpful.
Well presented!
Glad to help!
I really like both motorbikes, I hope I can get them in the future.🤔
I visited Tobacco Road Harley a couple of years ago when we were visiting my wife family. Super chilled crowd and clearly fantastic bikes. Both these bikes look amazing and sound even better with a set of Vance and Hines pipes. Think I've spent too long wanting a HD and not doing enough about it......gotta change that this year.
Thanks for the feedback! We look forward to seeing y'all again soon!
@@TobaccoRoadHD I'll be back, I'm running out of t-shirts and long sleeved tops. Always good to wear something in the UK that others don't have and spread the HD word.
Always loved the 48 sad its gone
How do these bikes compare to an Indian Scout/ Scout Bobber
It was a tough choice between the 883, 48 and a few other bikes i was looking at for my first actual bike. I ended up walking into a Harley dealership and fell in love with a 17' 48.
Harleys biggest mistakes was not keeping the sporters and then releasing different bikes instesd that lets asmit most people dont want. They shouldntngave stopped making the 48. If europe doesmt want them because they claim theyre not enviormentally friendly i say we tell them maybe if they dont change their mind we cancel nato and let them have fun against russia alone. Bring back the gunship grey sportsters
the only thing I dont like about the 48 is that it looks smaller than it really is, but over all I love it for the looks and the power is a better option
What is the Harley Davidson Forty Eight price?
I have never ever rode a motorcycle. I bought one and tried out the small ones first. I bought a 883 deadwood green with some custom stuff already done. I can’t stop riding it, I literally make stuff up just to go CRUISE around. It came with v&h short shots. Freaking amazing
Love to hear it! Enjoy the ride!
Im going to take the motorcycle safety course this weekend and dont currently own a bike. Over the weekend i sat on both bikes and at 5 ft tall, im tip toeing both bikes. They are also kinda heavy. Idk if this is going to work out for me.😔
For the Riding Academy courses, the Street 500's have 3 different seat options. The low seat on the Street 500's are usually able to work for most riders. The 350's have a higher seat height but slimmer profile. It might help to check some articles from shorter female riders and see tricks they use. Wishing you the best this weekend!
How'd it turn out for you?
Do any of the 48's come with the 883cc Evo engine? I'm a woman looking for a new bike and I'm loving the mean look of the 48 but I don't want the power of the 1200cc.
Unfortunately, the 48 only came in the 1200cc configuration. You should come check out the new 975cc Nightster and 1200cc Sportster S. Their ride modes let you control how much power you're working with.
I’m a young woman and have a 2017 48. The 1200 is nothing to be fearful of. You’ll be glad to have the little extra power.
Key-less entry?.... you'll be telling me there's no kickstart next! Lol.
thats weird my brand new 883 is key fob but the one you have is an actual key
Is harley going to discontinue producing the 48 in 2023?
@@jellis3699 like will the 2023 be the last model? or the 2022 is the last one?
@@danteturnbull1475 2022
@@jellis3699 Not happy to hear this news. Don't like the new "Rev Max" engine at all. H D couldn't have made the new Sportster sound more un-Harley if they tried.
Watching this video in 2024, looks like a promotional video from 60s
I'm pretty sure upgrading an 883 to 1250 or 1275 is less expensive than modifying a 1200 to look like the 48
48 for style, 883 for everything else
@Goesdeep 2 gallons is not enough for anything
@Goesdeep you can upgrade the 883 to be stronger
@@delgandeyou can upgrade the forty eight to be stronger too
Is it possible to swap a bigger fuel tank on the forty-eight from harley?
No
Yes a 3.3 gallon tank from zodaic
3rd party .. aftermarket…. I’m certain… I haven’t actually looked.. but I’d be shocked if not
@@KevOzY That's great as I prefer the Forty-Eight but consider the small tank a potential deal-breaker.
The 3.3 bolts right on.
HD lost a sale from me over the 2.1 gallon tank. That’s absurd.
The Sportster Forty-Eight takes a minimalist approach and the fuel tank is no exception there. If you're looking for a Harley-Davidson with a larger fuel capacity, but is just as nimble, there are still plenty of options for you. I'd recommend checking out the Nightster with the Rev Max and a 3.1 gallon tank or any bike from the new Softail line-up with fuel tanks ranging from the 3.5 gallon Softail Standard to the 5 gallon Low Rider S. Of course, the best option is always to stop by and let us help you find the perfect bike for your riding.
What if we put a dildo on the seat would that change your mind? What a chump
@@TobaccoRoadHD say it straight as it is dude. Marketing is killing desire to purchase one.
The 2.1 looks right at home like my 72. It was made for Saturday night cruising and they do that exceptionally well. Plus it's an excuse to get a 2nd bike.
Bro said “keyless entry”.
It’s says 1080p but the video is definitely 720p.
Soo I can't use a regular key to start the 48 smh wow another thing you have to spend money to fix when it don't work smh honestly if I can't put a key in it to start I don't want it
Its actually better than you might think! You no longer have to worry about where you put your key, did you leave it in the bike, did you leave the bike on, etc. The key fob lets you zip it up in your riding jacket leaving it secured on you. Losing a hard key means getting stuck while the bike running on a key fob will let you input your PIN number using the turn signals to start it. If the bike starts to detect a low battery in the fob, it will display Low Fob Battery on the screen with plenty of extra time so you can get that battery replaced soon.
👍👍👍
I dont know how anyone rides a bike with 2 gallons of fuel. Ive had daily commutes that were longer than that
so u waist ur life in traffic fuk that shit
🤤
HD clutch is WAY TOO HARD
In the end they were putting a 1.203cc moter on an 883 frame and calling it a 48, there tiny, Harley Davidson is comiting suicide by not making there best selling bike, so you can get a bob, a Lowrider and Harley in there infinite wisdom is now making a 750 completely made in China and shipped here, can't wait to spit on one.
No one wants that crap we want the nightster or sportster s
You are joking right? 😂
@@DemonHunter09 not at all. 883 and 48 and both way under powered with ancient technology not to mention on the 48 the tank is ridiculously small.
@@toomey2wheels247 i agree on that small tank 👍🏼
That’s definitely an issue
But because of the "ancient technology" a lot of people like these bikes. Some call it ancient and some call it old school you know?
It’s just nothing to fancy on the bikes.
At least that’s why I love ‘em
@@toomey2wheels247 they are entry level bikes, for beginers are ok or just for a everyday bike, and "ancient" technology is not that bad, that means easy to repair and lots of pieces out there so fuck you.
@@DemonHunter09 I think Harley made a big mistake cancelling the 883 and 48. Now they have no entry level models and I can't stand the sound of the new Sportster/Nightster.
