    I have done this and noticed I read faster and comprehend more. I felt like something was wrong for me for needing to use my finger 😂.

    I've tried it, but for as often as I read I don't want my arm to be worn out because I am using a pacer for hours at a time

    I will add this to my current technique to read/comprehend faster which is wear a bucket hat to cut out visual distractions from eyes and listen to brown noise while reading to cut out audio distractions

    My reading is so slow and I'm so grateful for this. but will I now need to be dependent on using my my finger to read or will you naturally just become a faster reader from this? Thank you for all you do Jim!

    "This video is truly helpful and time-saving. I tried applying the speed reading technique with Visual Pacer, and the results were genuinely impressive. Thank you to the creator of this video for sharing this valuable knowledge. What's fantastic is that we don't have to work harder; we just need to apply the technique correctly and save a significant amount of time. Very grateful for this sharing!"

    Jim while using visual pacer like pen or finger, we should drag our finger or pen on page or in air. Please make video on it.❤❤

    Back then in elementary school, my parents took me to my head teacher, they told her I couldn't read then she took the mantle of teaching me how to read. At first i was a slow reader plus i always use my index finger to follow and read out the line i was reading, but unfortunately that woman (the head teacher) beat ths shit out of me for reading while using my finger to point out what i was reading... Long story short, i was flogged my way out of reading with my finger pointing at the text... But here i am in an aha moment 😅

    What if the finger pacer seems distracting after having sub vocalization for many years?

  • @jccnguyen
    @jccnguyen Před 4 měsíci

    To prevent backskip, I put my finger on the left side of the page as a mark of the lines I already read, and most of the time I only move it by paragraph or after a few lines. Sometimes line by line but only when I need to look for something specifically. IMO moving your fingers along the words is very distracting as an adult now.

      you can use the mouse. besides, if you read on your phone, you can use a small plastic thing such as the final of the pen as a pacer, and then use your finger to scroll to move to the next page

    No such thing as fast reading - it’s a myth and a ruse

  • @Mr.Monta77
    @Mr.Monta77 Před měsícem

    Why would anyone read faster? This is the worst advice I have ever heard. I want to read slow and carefully so that I can absorb every word and sentence as it is written. I have read some thousand books in my years - I’m 71 now - and will continue to read as part of my education and entertainment.
    I strongly advise you to ignore this destructive method as worthless and counterproductive.
