I have done business with Mr. Amankwah. They provide you with all the information and have respect for you throughout the process. His partner in Ghana was also a good contact person. From buying, shipping clearing, conversion to delivery on the estimated time and with no hassle. That was my first time buying imported cars and it was smooth process from beginning to end.
I am using one of the cars and I have had no problems since I purchased it.
Good job bro. From all that has been said, i think it's ok if one wants to buy and sell for extra supporting income. The bigger cars seem profitable for businesses but the smaller cars like vitz, to me are not so economical to buy from Japan. Better to buy in Ghana.
Vitz 2010 - You pay ghc27000 for the car and shipping, ghc29000 or so for duty, another monies for changing steer, then other expenses. Total about Ghc60000. Youll have to wait about 3 months to get your car. Meanwhile Vitz 2010 is between 62-65k in Ghana. And you dont wait 3 months. You could work with that car and make more in 3 months than importing it. That's my take from the video though. Can anyone tell me where i got wrong

I personally travelled from New York and bought 8 cars from Osaka Japan Ghana But was a bad investment because of the conversion, dashboard, steer rag and the wiring mess it up and all buyers started complaining after 2 years , made enemies from buyers and never will I try that except when I need it personally

I find it difficult to understand the changing of the steering wheel from right to left in Ghana . When it is done in Ghana , is it certified before being used in the country . Is it not the cause of many accidents in Ghana ?
Are you trying to say Ghanaian mechanics are incompetent? cos i don't think you will get any road worthy certificate when done abroad too, you will only get that when it's done by the actual manufacturer of the vehicle.

You guys take everything for granted . Do they have machines to test the stability of the vehicles before putting them on the road ?

What are the average ages of the vehicles he ships from Japan to ghana. I know cars 10 yrs older & above are not allowed into Ghana's ports
I think you can still import them just that you have to pay a fine in addition to the customs duty.

You pay a penalty at the port when vehicle is over 10 years old.
I checked for Sonata Hybrid and the car was bought for 26k and the total duty is 87k.
So in all 26+87 = 113k 😢
