- Tasting Soviet era lemonades to see which one is my favorite. Buratino Lemonade and Duchesse Pear are two carbonated and sweet drinks. They aren't popular around the world, but I believe most people would enjoy drinking them.

You should add some apple cider
the ending was unexpected ngl
But on brand for the Soviet union, minus the straw. In Soviet Russia, Vodka is drunk from the tap.
You can take the Ukrainian out of Ukraine but you can't take the Ukraine out of the Ukrainian.

A nearby supermarket (in Western Europe) started stocking some of these drinks and I've been giving them a shot thanks to finding out about them on this channel. Big fan of Tarkhun now, gotta give their Buratino a shot too. Thanks for spreading the knowledge Vlad! Tarkhun panaché/shandy is worth a try
lol, I don’t know why but I’m from Russia and it sounds so hilarious 😅 Western media keeps saying how bad things are in Russia right now due to sanctions whereas the reality is the complete opposite, supermarkets are stocked in abundance, prices are at pre-war levels, things are more or less normal. Whereas from my European friends I hear the opposite. Now that I hear about some Russian drinks starting to pop at Western European supermarkets it feels like the roles have reversed. I know it’s probably just an independent supplier making his way to the European market, but the circumstances make it funny 😂
@@vladm5920 Everything's been fine over here, yes prices have gone up quite a bit, but it hasn't lead to any shortages of anything, in fact, the higher prices have resulted in more products being available because more money can be made from them, so it's better for producers. The city I'm in is quite international so every shop has an international products section with plenty of variety. The company that makes these drinks is German, so the sanctions are very much still in effect, and most Russian/Belarusian/Ukrainian culture products that expats who live here consume come from the Baltic countries, as they're in the EU. The city I'm in has also welcomed a lot of Ukrainian victims of the violence of Putin's Mafia-state, so it allows them to have a taste of home while they're away. Its definitely lucky that I've managed to find these drinks here, it's by far not common everywhere else in Europe.
Great to hear that more people enjoy eastern stuff! Since you talk about sparkling beverages, I'd also suggest trying baikal if you're a fan of herbs and kvas, which is essentially black bread-y soda with a little sourness to it(i know, it sounds terrible and not going to lie: you'll either love it or absolutely hate it. There's almost no middle ground)
@@ricardogens9834 yeah yeah "everything's fine". I'm from Poznan and it's a complete nightmare! Not only do they regularly glorify B*ndera on the streets of Eastern Polish cities (who is a w*r crim*nal for Poles), but they also refuse to leave the expensive apartments provided to them temporarily for living in Western Polish cities, in particular in Poznan. Free accommodation in a hotel complex in the very center of Poznan, apparently, was liked by refugees from across the eastern border. After learning about the need to leave the facility in connection with the planned renovation, the guests staged a loud protest. In our understanding, refugees are people who are fleeing from adversity to another country that owes them nothing. A country that voluntarily and at its own expense (or rather, at the expense of its own citizens) provides them with some living conditions. And for these conditions - say, three-star hotel, and sometimes less - you need to be grateful. After all, once again, no one is obliged to help a refugee in a foreign country.
However, the problem is that Ukrainians do not think so. After all, they were purposefully taught a different point of view. That they are not refugees, but the real owners - first-class Europeans. And that everyone owes them.
@@bidlogun7796 I said I'm in Western Europe, not Central Europe, so I don't know how things are over there. Here, prices have gone up considerably, but everything is as close to normal as they've ever been. Things were much more abnormal 2 years ago during covid or 8 years ago during the refugee crisis. I can definitely see how the countries bordering Ukraine would be having a much tougher time, but I wouldn't know because I'm not there or from there.
I hope the long videos come back one day!!
Buratino was my favourite childhood drink! I remember my dad always buying it for me from the Russian import store on a hot summer day on the beach.
They both very good, but I want a review on tarhun

I think, you have to try Soviet analog of Coke: "Baikal".
Flashing that Pinocchio on the screen was nightmare fuel.
In Soviet union drink mixes you.
This drink is great guys i recommend it
"In Soviet Russia, vodka drinks you!"
no ,in soviet Russia ,samogon and alcohol 97% drink
You’re excellent at making videos dude. Like, truly talented.
More Soviet era drinks please.
Man those clips are terrifying fever dreams😂
I grew up drinking the Pinocchio lemonade, now i need to go to my local russian mart as often as possible in order to get some
I made my own cocktail with the buratino with Ameretto and brandy. It goes really good with Amareto
We have a lemonade, very similar here in Latvia called Limpo. It comes in multiple flavours and is very good.
Mb try also "sitro" And "barbaris" They are cool
Randomly saw a Russian Pinocchio clip on yt some time ago didn't think it would be mentioned here
This man can talk about water and it will still look appetizing
You need to try Baikal by the same company as the big bottle in the video it's so good
Smirnoff is the mcdonalds of the vodka world
Hey Vlad,
Sending love from India
Can you Try making a drink from an Indian squash entitled “Rooh Afza”?
Lemon, orange and apple juice mixed together sounds absolutely incredible. I've lived in the western US before where tea and lemonade are EVERYWHERE, how have I never had something like this?
pear drink looks sooooo good
Ill have a shot of apple juice with my glass of vodka
Holy shit the one on the right is a classic I still drink it to this day
I wish I could try these lemonades from the soviet era
these machines as shown in the cut out have options to make “double” maening the taste would be twice as strong
Why is his voice so satisfying?!?!
I love how he puts the straw directly into the vodka bottle. Can confirm, that’s definitely something we would do
Russian here. I wasn't in the period of the USSR but I can still confirm that duchess and byratino are classics
I'd like you to try that Spanish nectar stuff. I wonder what cocktails would go with that pear and mango nectar?
Try tarchun next
By the way , we some times mix energy drinks and vodka, tastes not really horosho but soidet
imagin mixing them together lol
Fantoser (dreamer?) is a good one. Fanta + 5 oser (lakes) vodka. You drink and do go live in a fantasy world
In mother russia, the lemonade sell you
“Mixed drinks weren’t so popular in the Soviet Union” not surprising since most people hadn’t the money to taste one, let alone eat at all.
No lmao
Love the young Vlad at the Soviet pop machine ~ or atleast you might have appeared that way ~ Little Vladi sipping Soviet.lemonade & dreaming about mixing mixing 🤔💭🍹 When I grow up hmmmm.💓💥🤯🍹😋
🥰🥰
why do you NOT sound like talking through my screen but like sitting right inside my earphones
Can you make any cocktail without alcohol
This drink honestly sounds pretty good
Can't say that Черноголовка makes a great drinks. But Cherbogolovka's Байкал or Baikal is actually great, you should try it
This gives me so much nostalgia. My mom grew up in Russia and so when she visits she brings back all these drinks. Now that she can’t visit, we go to our favorite Russian store in town and they sell these drinks. 10/10 recommend it’s like nothing you find in the states.
Man this whole was thing sucks. Obviously isn't the first time in history unfortunately. Ukraine is corrupt and Putin overstepped a bit. You just can't win. All the people lose. Hope this conflict ends soon.
@@JTBCOOL1 I just miss when everything was fine and there was no conflict
You need to try Kvas/квас too and also Grib/гриб (it's like a mushroom carbonates Black Tea. Idk what it's called in English, but it taste very good)
Kombucha. Millennials call it so.
I have suggestions: mix world strongest alcohol with jawbreaker
Fuck, those actually sound so much nicer than the ultra-sweet, syrupy sodas we have now. Pity the rest of the country was fucked lol.
What country
Bring back some ice vids pls!

No matter how many other things were hard to come by: There always had been enough vodka.
Wouldn't Smirnoff be unpopular in the Soviet Union? It's British in origin and made in the US
Got to love my boy vlad
I grew up on these ❤😂
Just having flashbacks to Vlad using an eye dropper to put cola in vodka.
Can confirm that its fucking delicous, best soda ever
So were these lemonades that had these apple and pear flavors infused into it with carbonation?
Non-alcoholic cosmopolitan please!
I’ll have to try the lemonade/apple juice one, there’s a store nearby where I live that sells all sorts of different Russian/Ukrainian/Eastern European foods and drinks
“This was the ideal…”
Vodka in a Soviet party drink. Why the hell am I not surprised by this 💀
best ending ever
the way he just grabed the bottle-
The one with the bird on, i've tried a cola ish, drink from that brand. Pretty tasty. I might see if i can find the one you have with apple, the next time i visit the eurodeli
What glassware do you have it's beautiful?
Soviet union atleast had natural than artificial
Only simular thing between Buratino and Pinokio - thet they are made out of wood
man I hated it back then pretty sure I will hate it today as well
i tought the one on the left was a vegetable oil
The way he takes Smirnoff bottle....
This stuff is fucking delicious
hello, how do you like the idea of doing a review of Zhiguli beer?
I hope that every person who grew up in a slavic/former soviet union country remebers buratino/буратино from their childhood
My guy missed out on chernogolovka dushess lol.
It was "OURS" lemonade
what about Kvas? I remember that being the only good part about my childhood.
hard in Russia without Coca-Cola
The green is the best one
Since you’ve been doing Soviet drinks lately can you try lenon-ade?
Fish me oh I mean wish me for my exam or my teacher because I am gonna write the history of this lemonades
Russian soft drinks sound good and pretty 'natural'? I think if you packaged the original recipe today in a bougie glass bottle with a minimalist label, slapped on some marketing nonsense about natural organic soda, etc. you could charge a pretty penny for it.
Tarhun 2: electric boogaloo
