- I can't believe this is really happening! I never could have dreamed that I'd get to create my own signature series Kistler Rod! I've been fishing with Kistler Rods since 2010 and in my opinion, they are the best rods I've ever fished with. I love representing this company and Trey Kistler is someone that I call a friend and respect greatly.
In this video, I'm going to give you a Tour of the inside of the Kistler Factory located in Magnolia, Texas. Inside you'll find individuals completely focused on putting together the best rods they can. They check each and every guide, reel seats, cork quality, hook keepers, blank quality, etc to make sure that everything is held to a high standard of quality. If you want to buy a fishing rod that you can have the utmost confidence in its' quality, then I strongly suggest you consider getting yourself a Kistler.
In 2022, Kistler Rods is initiating a simplified way to choose your fishing rod based on specific techniques. This makes it so much easier to narrow down a list of rods that you may want to consider if you're wanting a rod to throw a particular bait or technique (ie: Chatterbait, Texas Rig, Drop Shot, Crankbait, etc). Just bought my first Kistler (feel and reel), and got a free series 2 reel. Almost went the way of Shimano or G-loomis.... glad I found out about Kistler through reading the comments section on rod reviews. Based on Faith, Texas, USA, Quality. For 3/4 to 1oz I’m going with a Heavy Action rod that is 7’-3” to 7’-6” in the KLX, Chromium, or Helium KISTLER Series.

Awesome video - perhaps one more with a more in-depth look at “how they make the rods”. These types of video IMO - really aid in the buying decision. I have one Kistler rod - never had an issue - so no need to contact anyone there. But - with this type video - providing a behind the scenes look - obviously they’re focused on the product - not some $2 million dollar building - that says a lot about the company to me. And frankly - I’d rather spend my hard earned money at a place like this - quality has to be better!!!!

How about addressing the crap warranty and “faith” bases mission to talk down to their customers… no thanks . They all go for loomis now!!!!$ 300 for a 1 year warranty is trash .
Hey Chuck. Sounds like you had a bad experience and I hate hearing that. I know the warranty periods have changed over the years but currently it’s a 5-year warranty on ALL rods. I’ve fished hard with Kistler rods for almost 12 years and have never broken a rod or popped a guide insert so my experience is that they are very strong and reliable.
