Awesome... I remember hanging with sensei maybe 20 years ago. A group from the Shoshone tribe were training under his tutelage. One Shoshone father was looking at his son train and turned to sensei and said, “Maybe he can be the first Native American kick boxing champion.” Sensei looked at him and replied “That will never happen.” The father with a surprised look asked “why?” To which sensei replied “Because I was the first Native American kickboxing champion.” 😂....

I did that with all the ninjutsu guys. I'm too go e only white guy to be an actual Shinobi. The rest are just TMA and soldiers. I am the head of a historical clan... 2 technically and my whole life was dedicated to Shinobido. These others are weekend warrior 🪖 or milbrat types. I attained my place do to spiritual birthright and traditions most do not know. I have even learned Apache and Navajo warrior/ shamanism
I'm a skinwalker. I learned Hawaiian and Siberian shapeshifter shamanism as well. They are all very similar. I'm the shadow man 😂 no seriously. Iemoto of Sasaki-Rokkaku clans and Shinobido. This Omi and koga Shinobido a d 5th degree in Bujinkan as well. I infiltrated the Bujinkan as a child and was handed my blackbelt by Prather himself. He took off his belt and gave it to me. Later I gave it back. I was tested for 5th degree 2x a d was affirmed by Brendan and Todd. I successfully caused a rift of spiritual and political differences. To this day I am waging psychological warfare against far rightwing conspiracy within Takamatsu-den. I've survived assassination plots and turned 1 of their agents against the organization. I have Great respect for Masaaki Hatsumi Soke. I was heartbroken to hear of his wife's passing. I must say though he was quite the unfaithful husband to her and now he feels the pain of his actions. His secrets are now public notice. I promise those who follow his lead may do even more self harm. Same for Prather. He is not only a rape denialist but he himself is a child of child rape by an American soldier. He's very dangerous to America.

Benny is such an amazing person. Back in 1984, pop warner football with his nephew for the san fernando braves. Back then, and it still may be the same today, before each game, you had to weigh in. There was a weight maximum you could be in order to play. I missed the weight 2 weeks in a row by something like 3 pounds. Somehow, not sure how, but benny caught wind of this. The next day at practice, the kid I played with told his uncle Benny about me and my weight cutting issues. Benny told him to invite me down to the jet center and he would help me drop the weight free of charge. Well I had never heard of him (hell I was 7 yrs old), but my dad was a HUGE fan of his. he night we went down and Benny himself spent weeks working with me to drop the weight. We even gloved up and went a couple rounds. So gracious he was/is. I memory I will never forget.

When you watch Benny's fight scenes with Jackie Chan in "Wheels on Meals" (1984), his raw power is undeniably evident. Most people look at Urquidez's 1984 physique (and he was undeniably in superb physical condition) and ascribe it to that alone. It takes a more practised eye to see that most of the power in his movements comes from his superb mastery of even the minutiae of the technical aspects of fighting.

Structure, measure, and positioning are all key. The strongest arm in the world can be magnified by a ton if the entire body is going into delivering the blow (or block). One hip shift is MASSIVE when compared to a jab with zero shift or zero pivot.

I met Benny in line while getting food at a local pizza parlor about 10 years ago one random day for lunch. He was right behind me and the guy behind him got impatient and said “keep it moving buddy” to him.
I had to do a double take and make sure it was him. I said to the big mouth “That’s Benny the jet, you better check you tube”. Guy looks at his phone for 30 seconds and looks back up and says “my bad” with nervous stare. Benny smiled at me and I said “my father used to show me all your fights as a kid”, I asked if we can take a pic together so I could show my old man and he graciously did a fisted selfie with me. Very humble and nice legendary champion.

If this is the case Ill still take Benny, as there are somethings you cannot train. Toughness, killer instinct, fearlessness.
This is the same argument with Mike Tyson. I would bet anything that if Mike trained in MMA instead of boxing, he would be the MMA goat. Its the fighter, not necessarily the style.

This man's principals in combat body mechanics is amazing; no movement is wasted, and transitions are smooth; the delivery is grounded in continuous torque; therein lies the secret to his speed and power. And his teaching style is basic, easy to follow, but undeniably effective.
This supports the following: it's not the system that makes the fighter, nor the fighter that makes the system; it's the person's grasp, and application of principles that makes a formidable fighter. What a great post; thank you.

I trained at the "jet center" from 1987 to 1993. I was blessed to be rubbing elbows withh so many great fighters. I learned alot, and sensei Benny and Blinky Rodriguez and Rick O'Kane and Jon Spencer and sensie Lilly RIP) had such a hugh influence on me.

So refreshing compared to all the Bruce Lee BS I see on youtube. Benny 's actually faced elite fighter and won. Lee never fought anyone.

Bruce Lee was a fantastic philosopher of the Martial arts. I have no doubt Bruce was a master of the craft. However Sensei Benny has the record to prove his prowess, something unfortunately Bruce lacks...

John Keys your wrong Bruce Lee sparred people all the time and was in street fights that his parents and siblings, wife and friends have talked about. Just because one doesn't fight professionally doesn't mean they can't accumulate effective technique and become a great fighter. Also I think you are attributing Bruce Lee to flowery kung fu which he only ever used in movies and had no place in his effective fighting philosophy

Bruce Lee fought not to win in tournaments etc etc etc he trained for real life fights when it's a matter of life & death when he strikes it's not for points but to take out his opponent as fast as possible! His speed is unbeatable nobody could beat him in that way! Everybody who talks about Bruce has no trophies etc etc etc but he was
"THE SENSEI" and was bigger than martial arts! He had so much to share a real legend!
They even said... If you've ever been kicked by his sidekick... It had the impact of a car hitting you!

John Keys before you talk about bruce lee you have to get through chuck norris and jackie chan caused their both respect the master before their become famous just like to respect your teacher as a student :) just like how benny is giving respect to his martial arts teacher, caused teacher never compete but still more knowledge in martial arts black belter up to red belter, also with using deadly weapons.

Watched this vid as a brown belt. Then practiced Benny's drills for a week. When sparring with our dojo's 3 degree black belt, he wondered how I got so much better so quickly. A real game changer!

I hope all you YG's out there be paying respects. Listen to what this man says. He was an amazing fighter, AND he can teach that. Not everyone can, it takes a passion to watch your students grow.To knock a man in a fight is one thing, to nurture a student in a classroom is something else entirely. Thank you for sharing Fairborz. Big ups.
    Peace.
