  • This is a Special OVERGROWN yard makeover because the Homeowners SISTER contacted me and asked if I can give her sister a little help. So I set it up for the following week and todays the day.. When I got there the back yard was super overgrown, as I started to cut I ran into a BIG PROBLEM. I don't wanna spoil what happen. But after I got that problem taken care of I proceeded to cut. this yard actually took me two days to finish, it was a lot of work and the grass was really tall. Shout out to one of my best friend Chris for helping me remove the limbs and debris. I finished the yard and the home owner was super appreciative. THIS IS WHAT I DO THIS FOR.. to up lift someones day giving them a little faith and a little help, and Inspire anyone and everyone that watches my videos!!! I love you all and hope you enjoy!!!! By the way this expensive mistake didn't cost me to much because I called my brother in law and we knew how to fix this problem but if I didn't this would forsure have been a very expensive FREE yard makeover.. LOL so if your wondering why I titled it expensive mistake, its because I wanted to see if y'all really read my description.. lol so if you read this far into it leave me a heart comment so I know... lol don't give it away to the people that didn't read it lol it will be out secret LOL love you!!

Main water line shouldn't be above ground like especially since it's PVC. You're a stand up guy Al and you're doing a great job. This world could use more people like you.

It’s different in Florida. You don’t have to bury the lines so deep because it’s not freezing cold there. It definitely should be at least below the ground so this kind of stuff doesn’t happen though.

@markrapacki5855 So what do they use in your area? Down here in the south it's really a common thing. Little to no frost during the winter means it doesn't have to be buried too deep. PVC, non DWV, is rated to well above anything you should be seeing from the municipal supply. There's no need for copper or PEX supply lines. Galvanized and lead are long dead.

But be prepared to be let down from time to time. There's a house I always pass that has a beautiful back deck but is so overgrown with vines and bushes, you never see anybody on it. Last spring I decided I'd get a buddy and we would help clean it up, there's a woman who lives there, maybe 45-50, we spoke to her and then got to work. Took more than half a day to get it back to where it should be, looked great honestly, she came out after we got done to show her..... she looked up and down, side to side but the first words out of her mouth were: "Oh you didn't fix the cracks in the sidewalk, I thought you would fix the concrete(fully functional just had several cracks throughout from age) . It had to be 4 or 5 minutes she spent talking about the sidewalk and how it "could" look before she mentioned anything about the deck. Kind of annoyed me a little but no biggie, we didn't really do it for the pat on the back, we liked it, she liked it, job well done... We were loading everything back up and she walked over to truck and said, I usually get home from church around 1pm so anytime after will be good. Be good, good for what I asked, to work on the sidewalk she said.
That kinda ticked me off and completely caught me off guard, it actually stayed with me for a week or two. We did all that free work and her response was do more. And this was the first time I'd ever done something like this for a stranger. I know not everybody is like that but it ticked me off so much I haven't even attempted to do something like it again ever since.

We had one built into our house and we did measure out how much water it would drain out and we averaged about 8 gallons depending if it was just a normal day or storms coming in

You are one of the most kind, giving, compassionate human beings on this earth! You were willing to pay the lady for her lunch break? It wasn't your fault,You fixed the pipe. Just imagine if she had hired and paid someone to cut her yard what the outcome would be. The lawn maintenance person would've told her to hire a plumber and claim it wasn't his responsibility. You are a blessing to so many people and even to those of us who love to watch you. I've been binge watching your videos for the past two days.😊 I will be donating money to help your charity.God bless you brother.

It is soooooo amazing to see before and after. My dad died when I was 15 and he had a lot of bushes and flowers and since my mother worked to support us guess who had to the yard!!! So I know it is a lot of work so I enjoy watching you go beyond. God bless you and your family. ❀❀❀

I feel your pain brother. No good deed goes unpunished lol. I have this sort of thing happen to me all the time. I'm like you and I go way far out of my way to help everyone I possibly can and those in my small community knows this and they take advantage of it as much as they can. I don't mind. I love it and always will. But it's frustrating sometimes when it seems to never end. Keep up the great work and keep being the good soul you are.

In reality, He should have weed whacked that area first and would have discovered the pipe. That way all the weed whack scraps could have been mulched with the mower. It was his own lack of planning.
