The test was conducted on July 21, 2023, and the pod reached a speed of 100 km/h.
The Hyperloop pod is a subscale pod that is 4 meters long and weighs 150 kg. It is powered by a linear electric motor and is equipped with a number of safety features, including a passive braking system and a fire suppression system. The successful testing of the prototype Hyperloop pod is a major milestone in the development of Hyperloop technology in India. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Avishkar Hyperloop team. The team is now working on developing a full-scale Hyperloop pod that can reach speeds of up to 1,200 km/h. Hyperloop is a new transportation technology that uses a vacuum tube to transport people and cargo at high speeds. Hyperloop has the potential to revolutionize transportation by making it possible to travel long distances quickly and efficiently. The Avishkar Hyperloop team is making significant progress in developing Hyperloop technology in India. If its not safe for human transportation also it should not be discarded and could be used for goods delivery imagine building one parallel to dedicated freight corridor where these would run delivering goods that too autonomously it'll be futuristic

but idk why is everyone so invested in this idea like finding a straight path from point A to point B is not feasible. Also if just on of the tubes has a problem the whole system will go down. If i had to bet on some futuristic idea for transportation of goods/humans i would bet on Drones or E-Quadcopterrs something like that than HyperLoop
Maintaining complete vaccume in the tunnel has high running cost and high investment in building long tubes capable for very high -ve pressure force is huge barrier for its actual viablity. But our researchers would learn a lot in this project which could be useful in one or other form.
At last someone saying a sensible thing without buying into this impractical energy and financially expensive project of hyperloop... Which has all the disadvantages in the world and it's only USP being highspeed, which is only possible in vacuum whi5is near impossible to maintain for longer especially at large scale and long distances... And is ridiculously energy consuming... Especially not suitable for the energy shortage crisis the world is about to enter in next few decades.
And at least hyperloop is impossible in next 10-20 years in its fully realised form of highspeed vacuum tube transportation.
At least the experience of working on such a challenging task will give those researchers and companies a high level experience to improve their understanding and skills that can enable them to innovate else where in valid feasible yet ambitious projects.

Hyperloop lacks in physics levels before it comes to economics. Even Musk & Virgin Hyperloop pulled out from this hululu projects after attract investors. It may only can be used for industrial purpose (efficiency) but not for Rail/Metro like transportation.

This mode of transport would be very impractical the biggest concern is the need f large scale vacum tubes which is the hardest part .

This is an old technology, the technology is impossible to make it commercially viable on economies of scale.
Don't worry they will realise it after wasting a huge amount and bind up the project

All i can say is kudos to the engineers but its very unfair compared to other premier institutes of engineering not even getting the basic support from government and even if they do get its getting eaten up by management and and also remnants of the funds are spent on mainly simpler materials research and etc.

The density of air inside is maintained much less. Complete vacuum is very expensive so it is not feasible while testing
