Aquesta cançó forma part de l'Obra del Cançoner Popular de Catalunya i fou recollida per Dolors Porta Bauzà a El pla de na Tesa (als voltants de Palma de Mallorca), l'11 de setembre de 1935 i cantada per Vicenta Roig.
La versió que es presenta fou enregistrada al municipi de Mura (el Bages) el 24 d'abril de 2016.
