- Hey guys thanks again for watching.On this video I am reinstalling the engine and gearbox back after repairing the chassis,I struggled getting the engine to start that’s why it’s been a while uploading,I managed to source a new wiring loom from Mk1 Legendz,please do stay tuned by subscribing to see the next video where I drive the car for the first time and actually start installing the coilovers.
Thanks Gavin for the patience 🙌🏽really struggled getting the wiring for the car right ,the fuses and relays got damaged as well,hopefully it’s smooth sailing from here.
Im glad your build gonna look awesome bro they charged me 5k to change my right side chassis leg and to make sure everything is on point other one charged me 2k but my build is moving kg i bought a 2l 8valve engine
I still need a price for a shortloom and computer box
2l 8valve nice !!!but yeah 2k is a good price I got both chassis legs for 1k at a junkyard and a brand new front cradle for 1.2k online.I got the loom for 1.3 but it’s a full loom with the alarm boxes.

@@gavinjones2209 hope you good buddy,gonna be uploading the final video soon but I can say that both the chassis legs were 1500 all together and a brand new cradle was 1200 and that’s literally all it took to get the car Back together,the 2l litre 2k paint and the prep(primer hardener etc)was about R850 and 2litre was enough to paint the whole body and the engine bay,I still have about a quarter left even though I did 2 coats.There’s small costs involved like the welding wire, sanding paper etc.

my biggest fear when thinking about a project is def the wiring
My brother you can say that again 😂 🤦🏾♂️everything else was smooth sailing until I had to do the wiring,the car started once and then stopped starting,the fuel pump is not kicking in anymore for some reason,I tested it it’s fine,new relay and fuse,still nothing.
