Hard to believe wireless Carplay is available on the smaller, cheaper screen. When you upgrade to 10.2" screen, you need the dreaded cable. THAT is ridiculous.

Same! I have a 2020 Santa Fe and hate having to plug my phone in and have hanging wires. They rented me a 2023 Santa Fe and I was super bummed when I couldn’t use CarPlay cause my cord is in my vehicle at the dealership😵💫. I adore Hyundai but they need to catch up with the times. ESPECIALLY my vehicle needing an app to start/etc that I have to pay monthly for!😑

Excellent tutorial. Purchased a Tucson 2023 PHEV last month. Question with using Infotainment sys: No favorites for phone?, and there is a calendar, but no sync to your phone? Yes, I know I can use iPhone CarPlay. Using Bluelink for the time being. Thanks in advance.

I have the 2023 Elantra SEL convenience package. Have had it about 2 months. Everything is fantastic and your video was super helpful helping me guide thru the infotainment system. Yesterday I had an issue, it’s hot out now and my car sits in the work parking lot for about 10 hours in the hot sun. I use a shade to protect but the inside of the car gets hot. I noticed when I tried to connect to car play, it didn’t work and my cables appeared dead. Has this ever happened to you before? If so, any suggestions?? Today, they work fine but it’s been parked in a cool garage. Is this going to be an ongoing issue until fall? 😢 Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated 😀

I have a 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid - When I turn on car I get a generally blank background screen on the info panel that just states Date, time, radio channel, and outside temp. I then immediately hit the Radio button which gives me the split screen of large radio channel list details, date/time on top center, and split screen to right with todays weather (3 icons over 6 hours). I really like this display and want to know how I can program the display panel to automatically Default to this desired display. I called Hyndai and blue link and they said I'd have to make a service call and go to the dealer to address this which is NOT a nice thing. Can you provide guidance for me to modify??

no you are incorrect. You can make calls and text through bluetooth wirelessly. In order to connect to apples phone mirroring app called apple car play you need to plug your phone in
Can you set it to display the speed your car is going on the screen? In other words in addition to the map showing you the speed limit, can it show the speed your car is going?

A question with regards to using the iPhone Maps Ap on CarPlay on my Tucson 2023 Hybrid…..I no longer have the voice directions, essentially no sound…only the map. It used to work….not sure why it no longer does.

When I press Media, it starts playing nature sounds and I can't figure out how to make it stop. I'm trying to play my Libby app on my phone and it was working but then the nature sounds started on their own.

I have a 2023 Tucson Limited. I cannot make a call using Bluetooth with my IPhone. I can see my contacts and call history on the screen. When I try to use the command to call someone, it tells me ...contacts not downloaded try later. I have deleted my IPhone and added it back. I have said yes to download contacts. What am I doing wrong?

just picked up my 2024 Tucson Hybrid Luxury. I've connected my iPhone 14. I can receive calls (wireless). I can't send or receive a text (hands free).
you also have to allow it to receive text messages in your bluetooth settings

You can buy wireless adapters. People seem to like them. I tried to install one and couldn’t get it to work properly.
I always have my phone plugged in to charge anyway, so really it's no big deal.

@@carsunlocked Thanks, I appreciate your reply. I found out through Hyundai AutoNation that you in fact can't change the nagging woman's voice. That is until such time as an update to the infotainment system provides the ability to do so.
So no apple car play wirelessly. Even though they advertise it. Completely lame and dishonest.

Lower trim with 8 inch screen is wireless, 10.5 inch is not wireless.
